In the latest episode of Destiny 2, titled Heresy, ten new seasonal weapons have been introduced. Players can acquire these weapons through The Nether activity and by completing the Tome of Want. While these weapons are not craftable, their unique perk combinations and synergies can make them quite powerful.
Imagine wielding a machine gun that unleashes bolts of lightning, firing volatile arrows, or transforming your fusion rifle into a primary weapon temporarily. With a wide variety of loot this season, finding the perfect roll for your desired weapon should be relatively easy. Let’s explore the top rolls available for each weapon from this season’s Heresy episode.
Abyssal Edge
Abyssal Edge is the second Wave Frame Sword introduced in Destiny 2, with heavy attacks launching a wave of Strand energy that can significantly damage scavengers and elite enemies. While Wave Frame Swords typically struggle against bosses, Abyssal Edge compensates with impressive DPS perks.
Elemental Honing stands out, granting increasing damage for each unique elemental damage type inflicted on a target, capping at 35% with five distinct damage types. It might sound challenging, but with multi-element Exotics like Conditional Finality, stacking this buff becomes easier.
To optimize your build, pair Elemental Honing with ammo perks such as Relentless Strikes and Tireless Blade, but we recommend using Slice. Hitting targets with this weapon will Sever them, reducing their damage output by 40%. This is crucial for a weapon that requires close-up combat.
This weapon cannot roll Eager Edge, making it less suitable for Crucible players. Instead, consider using Half-Truths or The Other Half.

Adamantite
With the Heresy episode, Bungie has introduced another Support Frame Assault Rifle that deals Strand damage. Adamantite not only heals allies with the Cure perk but also debuffs them with Unravel, which sends out Unravel projectiles upon receiving damage. The best part is that this won’t make your allies take extra damage.
If you’re favoring a Support Assault Rifle, perks like Reciprocity are excellent as they heal you slightly whenever you assist allies. This triggers Circle of Life’s 25% damage buff, making Adamantite a solid Primary weapon that can also serve as a healing tool. Just keep in mind that it’s not suitable for PvP due to poor hit registration.
Attrition Orbs is a viable alternative in the second trait slot. Healing allies can generate Attrition Orbs, making it easier to create orbs in group activities.

Afterlight
While Afterlight may initially appear to be underwhelming for a Fusion Rifle due to the absence of Controlled Burst for PvE or being overshadowed in PvP, it shines with its perk: Discord. With this perk, securing a kill with another weapon will refund ammo on kill for seven seconds, essentially granting you near-infinite ammo as long as you continue to secure kills.
Consider using newly enhanced Destabilizing Rounds for Volatile Rounds or Successful Warm-Up for shorter charge times. Don’t underestimate this weapon—it has potential!

Anamnesis
Although it has been a while since we’ve seen a new Void Bow, Anamnesis stands out thanks to a recent buff to Destabilizing Rounds. By netting a kill, you can effectively turn Anamnesis into a miniature Graviton Lance for five seconds, continuously tagging nearby enemies with Volatile, thereby granting your bow Volatile Rounds for subsequent damage.
Combine this with Dragonfly for explosive damage, or Repulsor Brace for Overshields.
In PvP, perks become more limited due to the lower damage profile of Lightweights. For a more balanced build, consider Hip-Fire Grip, which is highly underestimated on Bows in PvP, paired with Impulse Amplifier for quick reloads.

| PvE Roll | Polymer String | Fiberglass Arrow Shaft | Dragonfly | Destabilizing Rounds OR Sword Logic | Draw Time |

Division
Division is notable for being the first Sidearm in Destiny to have the Sword Logic perk apply, allowing it to grant a damage boost based on the strongest enemy you’ve dispatched. This perk retains its potency for subsequent kills, resulting in a unique play experience.
For PvP, this weapon can turn deadly; securing one kill enables a swift 0.47s TTK that lasts for eight seconds. For those drawn to PvE, include Eddy Current for bonus reload speed, or Grave Robber if you’re leaning into a melee-centric build.

Eyes Unveiled
Yes, you read that correctly. Eyes Unveiled is the first Heavy weapon to feature the Discord perk, which refunds ammo straight to its magazine upon confirming kills. You will need to score a kill with another weapon first to activate Discord, but afterwards, your Linear Fusion Rifle will offer ample ammo with each elimination.
Its strengths continue with perks like Overflow and Reservoir Burst, both making it a solid choice against Champions while maintaining effectiveness in general PvE scenarios. If you seek explosive action, Chain Reaction is also an option. Yet, for sheer DPS, stick with Cataclysmic or Doomed Petitioner.
If you’re new to the game and require a Decent Linear Fusion Rifle, this weapon can be fitted with Triple Tap and Frenzy. While it doesn’t quite match the top-tier LFRs, it should hold you over until you secure something more competitive.

| PvE Roll | Arrowhead Brake | Ionized Battery | Overflow | Reservoir Burst | Charge Time |

Mirror Imago
Mirror Imago is a Strand variant of The Recluse, operating at an impressive 900 RPM with nearly zero recoil. For PvE, keep an eye out for Overflow and Sword Logic. Overflow counteracts the smaller magazine sizes often seen with SMGs, while Sword Logic provides a substantial damage boost after dispatching a major or miniboss.
If you’re focusing on PvP, only chase Mirror Imago if you have a passion for 900 RPM SMGs. Although it’s far from the meta, it’s enjoyable to use and comparatively easier to land headshots with. Featuring Sword Logic reduces your time-to-kill to a rapid 0.6s, regardless of Resilience. Pair it with To the Pain for added reliability.

| PvE Roll | Smallbore | Accurized Rounds | Overflow | Sword Logic | Range |

Psychopomp
Area Denial Grenade Launchers are highly effective in the game, but for maximum efficiency, you’ll need to generate Special ammo. While Psychopomp may not be as flashy as Velocity Baton with Attrition Orbs, this weapon can deal impressive damage thanks to Rolling Storm.
This perk gives Bolt Charge with your kills, using a new Arc mechanic that stacks with hits. At maximum charge, your next instance of ability damage produces a lightning bolt on the target, dealing substantial damage—akin to an Ignition. Pair it with Ambitious Assassin for loading up projectiles or Sympathetic Arsenal for an efficient DPS rotation.

Refusal Of The Call
Refusal of the Call is the first Glaive that possesses the Strand element, offering fans of this weapon type a new option aside from Rake Angle. However, many of its rolling perks can’t compete with the powerful combination of Replenishing Aegis and Unstoppable Force. These perks create a synergy that simply outshines others, though it’s still a respectable weapon.

Watchful Eye
Watchful Eye merges the traits of Thunderlord and Hammerhead, being a 600 RPM LMG that features Rolling Storm. This perk grants Bolt Charge on kills, building up additional charge with sustained damage. At ten stacks, you can unleash a lightning bolt upon your next ability cast. If you’re after electrifying rounds, Jolting Feedback will deliver.
Consider pairing either perk with Overflow for a massive magazine boost or reloading-free combat, Field Prep for a larger reserve, or Eddy Current for rapid reloads. This weapon is also effective in PvP, particularly with perks like Mulligan and Killing Tally for seamless eliminations.
