In Silent Hill f, once you reach the middle school and complete the box puzzle you find there, one of your main objectives will be to open a key locker located on the first floor of the building. To do this successfully, you’ll need to do some detective work. As you explore, you’ll come across hints that can help you unlock several other lockers, each containing its own reward.
Understanding how to open each locker involves learning “Girl Code,” a simple system with a few quirks. You can either memorize the code or just input the correct numbers and symbols for each locker. However, it’s more enjoyable to learn Girl Code and apply it as you go.
How Girl Code Works in Silent Hill f
Most lockers in the game are unlocked using Girl Code, which is based on substituting letters with numbers or symbols that look similar. You’ll find notes throughout the school that explain this code. The key note explains how words like SATOU and YOSIDA translate into Girl Code. If you don’t find this note, there may be other hints, such as a note stating that AOI is the code for a specific locker, or a note like “BAKA = 84*4,” which can help you understand the system.
From the notes, the following mappings are established:
- A = 4
- B = 8
- D = 7
- K = *
- I = 1
- O = 0
- S = 5
- T = +
- U = 6
- Y = x
The trickiest part might be U = 6, which you might have to figure out by trial if no note explains how SATOU translates.
All Locker Combinations
If you prefer not to decode Girl Code, you can simply enter the correct numbers into each locker. For example, Aoi’s locker is in an unlocked room from the start, while others require finding a key first. Before you get the key to the second-floor hallway, you’ll need to explore a bit more, including finding the key outside the school in the flowers.
Here are some locker combinations and their rewards:
Locker | Combination | Contents |
---|---|---|
Asakura | 865 | Key cabinet key |
Aoi | 401 | Origami clue |
Suga | 505 | School bag (extra inventory) |
Tsuchiya | 377 | Wolf Omamori |
You don’t need to open every locker story-wise, but they often contain useful items, like special charms. Once you’ve learned Girl Code and accessed the lockers, you can leave the locker room and continue exploring the school.
Once you master these puzzles, you’ll be ready to move on to the next part of the game.
