The Support class in Battlefield 6 is clearly designed to help others, especially through the first training path, which is the Combat Medic. Until you reach at least level 20, this is the only path available for Support players. Even after level 20, unlocking the second path requires completing specific challenges.
As a Combat Medic Support, your main job is to keep your teammates alive and in the fight. The recommended loadout below is based only on weapons and gadgets accessible from levels one to 20 in Battlefield 6.
Combat Medic Support Training Path Overview
General Tips
- Your main role is to support your squad and teammates. Stay close to them because your tools are most effective when you’re nearby.
- Reviving teammates is your top priority. This prevents them from using respawn tickets and helps keep your team in the game longer.
- Support players should always stay alive. You’re more helpful when alive and out of sight during firefights.
- Even though you may not rack up the most kills, you can top the scoreboard by reviving many teammates in a match.
- In big battles, find cover and stay safe. You’re more useful alive and hidden.
Best Low-Level Support Loadout for Combat Medic Path
The Healer
Here’s a good setup for lower levels for the Support class with the Combat Medic training:
- Primary Weapon: M/60
- Secondary Weapon: P18
- Gadget 1: Defibrillator
- Gadget 2: GPDIS (Grenade Intercept System)
- Throwable: Smoke Grenade
- Melee Weapon: Sledgehammer
The M/60 is generally the best choice for a Medic. It has high damage and good range, making it effective from behind the front lines. However, it fires slowly, so on smaller maps, switching to the DRS-IAR — which fires faster and has quicker reload and aiming times — can be smarter.
Bringing the Defibrillator is crucial. Your main role is reviving teammates quickly and efficiently. Keep in mind the drag mechanic—being able to drag teammates faster and revive them quicker is a major advantage, helping you pull allies out of danger and back into the fight.
Choosing Gadget 2 can be tricky. I recommend the GPDIS because it blocks enemy projectiles, protecting your teammates during revives. Setting up GPDIS around corners can also keep your area safe from enemy fire.
If you can’t safely drag teammates out, but need to revive them, use Smoke Grenades. Toss a smoke grenade over their body if they’re out in the open. It won’t guarantee safety, but it will hide your position and give your team a chance to advance.
You don’t have to take a Sledgehammer—you can use a knife if you prefer. But the Sledgehammer can help open sightlines and create sneaky routes for revives. Remember, getting teammates back into the fight is your main goal when playing as a Combat Medic in Battlefield 6.
