The Huntress class was introduced in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt (also referred to as 0.2), and while the leveling process could be better, the class itself is quite powerful. Since its launch, various impressive builds have emerged, with Lightning Spear being the standout among them. Though Bleed Huntress (or Bleed Amazon) hasn’t gained as much attention, recent adjustments have made it a noteworthy option in its own right.
Previously, Bleed faced some limitations against enemies with Energy Shield. If an enemy had Energy Shield (which many do), your damage would significantly diminish. With this restriction lifted, the Bleed Huntress, as shown by Goratha, truly shines (and it was already impressive).

Skills & How To Play
Jump In And Jump Out With Rake And Disengage
Your primary action sequence involves lunging in with Rake and then retreating with Disengage. After the Bleed effect activates (if the enemies are still alive), activate Blood Hunt. For added damage or reach, Spearfield works greatly, while Bloodhound’s Mark is ideal for boss encounters. You can also increase your pace by animation canceling Rake with Parry or Block.

Passive Tree, Ascendancy, & PoB
Strength, Damage, And Criticals Are The Focus
On the offensive side, the passive tree for Bleed Huntress in Dawn of the Hunt centers on maximizing attack damage and Strength (to boost Rake damage through Stomping Ground) along with critical hits. Defensively, Evasion serves as the main defensive layer, supplemented by Blind, Block (through Glancing Hits), and diminished slow effects to help lessen damage. There are many intriguing choices in this area; for instance, Deterioration minimizes Ailments while enhancing your damage, while Stun recovery and buildup make challenges easier for you and tougher for your foes. You can also delve deeper into Bleed mechanics.
Your Ascendancy should first focus on Critical Strike, followed by Predatory Instinct and In For The Kill. Once you secure a strong weapon with high Accuracy, shift your attention to Penetrate and adjust your passive tree and gear as needed. Until then, consider using Azmeri Brew for effective recovery.

Leveling Guide
Focus On Raw Damage Early
There’s not much that needs adjusting, so you can utilize the same tree for leveling. The key is to steer clear of critical nodes until you acquire your first Ascendancy (and the Critical Strike node). Instead, focus on boosting raw damage and, to a lesser extent, movement speed. Aim for Splinters, Escape Velocity, Maiming Strike, Acceleration, and spear-related nodes (like Javelin). After you obtain your first Ascendancy, you can begin targeting critical nodes.

When it comes to gear, focus on Physical Damage, increased % for Physical Damage, Accuracy, and Attack Speed for your weapon. For the rest of your equipment, prioritize life, resistances, critical hit chance, critical hit bonuses, and Strength. For leveling uniques, consider Venopuncture, Meginord’s Girdle, or other items that enhance Strength. Don’t forget to check vendors routinely and disenchant your rare items for Regal Orbs, which are essential for crafting.
Gear And Affixes
Physical Damage, Strength, And Critical Damage Are Key
Gearing for the Path Of Exile 2 endgame follows similar principles to leveling for the Bleed Huntress build. Once again, target Physical Damage, % increased Physical Damage, Accuracy, and Attack Speed for your weapon, along with +X to all melee skills. For other equipment, life and resistances are crucial, with some critical hit chance or bonus included if possible. Strength remains essential for enhancing Rake damage, so keep that in focus. For general gear, hybrid armor and evasion are often preferred, but using pure evasion can also be effective.
