Having a Destiny Rising weapon tier list handy can help you identify the best firearms and other weapons to add to your collection for an advantage in battles. While many weapons are acquired randomly through the game’s engram system, it’s still helpful to know where your current gear ranks so you can decide what to prioritize. Here’s our updated weapon tier list for Destiny Rising.

Keep in mind that most top-tier weapons are Exotic, so you’ll need to follow the right steps to unlock them. Also, each character has specific weapon types they can use, so your choices may vary depending on your fireteam. This list mainly focuses on PvP play, but it should also be relevant for PvE.

Best Picks for Primary Weapons:

  • Concerto performs well with slow-reloading Heavy weapons and excels at close range—especially if you unlock Catalyst Band 01.
  • Crimson refills ammo on Precision hits, allowing you to stay alive longer.
  • Furies III is easily accessible through the Battle Pass and can ramp up fire rate with frequent shots for more damage.
  • The Huckleberry offers high fire rate and consistent damage, chaining kills over multiple enemies.
  • Jötunn pairs strongly with long-reload Heavy weapons and tracks targets effectively.
  • The Old Prefect is so accurate that even beginners can get good use from it, especially when supporting Dragon Breath’s passive perks.
  • Polaris Lance shines when you hit Precision shots, which return extra ammo, saving you reload time.
  • Sworn Oath is well-rounded and simple but watch your reloading to maximize damage during the second half of the magazine.

  • Gallows reloads faster than most machine guns, with homing Void grenades for guaranteed hits.
  • Mahamayuri has high damage output and versatility.
  • Nobunaga can dash with its Heavy Attack, offsetting melee-only weakness, and increases movement speed after enemies are defeated.
  • Octant Riot Disperser has a burst-fire mode for big damage, but save it for situations where accuracy is assured.
  • Partridge Sky fires a ranged attack during its Heavy Attack, although its Battle Cry perk is less effective in PvP.
  • Satiyaaliksni Smart Bomb is easy to upgrade and guarantees AoE damage.
  • Two-Tailed Fox launches Void rockets that suppress enemies, with auto-tracking making hits easier.

If your initial draws aren’t favorable, you can also reroll your weapons. Check out our separate guide on how to do that.
