Using the best equipment for Sparxie in Honkai: Star Rail can greatly increase her damage output as the main damage dealer for teams centered around Elation. However, you’ll also need to assemble the right team to support her. Basically, Sparxie is the second playable character who uses the Elation element, coming after Yao Guang. Her release is scheduled for the Phase 2 banners in Honkai: Star Rail 4.0, expected to launch in early March.
Unlike Yao Guang, who mainly provides support for Elation teams, Sparxie is designed to be the primary damage dealer. Her gameplay revolves around dealing damage using her regular skills, her Elation damage, and boosting her attacks with her Punchline mechanic. Her build in the game is fairly straightforward, but making sure she’s equipped with the right gear is crucial.
Best Light Cones for Sparxie
Currently, there are only a few top options. The standout is the 5-star Light Cone Dazzled by a Flowery World, which is her signature weapon. It boosts her critical damage by 48%. While she’s active on the field, for each Elation character on the team, her Skill Point cap increases by 1, stacking up to three SP. Every Skill Point used allows her to ignore up to 5% of enemy defense when doing Elation damage, up to four times.
If she uses four or more Skill Points in one turn, she triggers Stream Promo, boosting all allies’ Elation values by 20%. This is perfect for Sparxie, as it enhances her offensive power and works well with her high Skill Point consumption. The Light Cone not only gives her more Skill Points but also grants additional bonuses from using them. Plus, the extra Elation value for her teammates, especially if Yao Guang is present, can be very helpful.
Here’s a quick overview of the recommended setup for Sparxie:
| Component | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Light Cone | Dazzled by a Flowery World (5-star), Today’s Good Luck (4-star), or Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures (4-star alternative for free-to-play players) |
| Relics | Ever-Glorious Magical Girl set (4-piece) for bonus Crit DMG and defense ignoring, complemented by Tengoku@Livestream ornaments (2-piece) for extra Crit DMG |
| Stats Priority | Attack, Crit Rate / Crit Damage, Energy Regeneration Rate |
| Skill Priority | Elation Skill, Talent, Bonus Traces, then Ultimate, and Basic Attack |
Because getting a 5-star Light Cone can be difficult, the best 4-star alternative is Today’s Good Luck, which increases Crit Rate and boosts Elation value when using skills. If you prefer a free-to-play option, Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures is good—it raises Elation value and boosts enemy Elation damage taken.
Best Relics, Ornaments, & Stats
For relic sets, the Ever-Glorious Magical Girl set is the top choice, providing a 16% Crit DMG bonus for two pieces, and ignoring 10% of enemy defense with four pieces. It also stacks with Punchline gain, further increasing damage.
As for ornaments, the Tengoku@Livestream set is ideal, providing a 15% Crit DMG bonus, and if three or more Skill Points are spent in a single turn, Crit DMG increases further for three turns. When farming relics and ornaments, prioritize Attack, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and some Energy Regen to maximize her damage potential and ability to use her ultimate more frequently.
Team Compositions for Sparxie
Supporting her requires a well-chosen team. The best option is to bring Yao Guang, who manages Elation support, along with Sparkle, who can increase Skill Point cap and help recover Skill Points, making Sparxie more powerful.
Here are some team suggestions:
-
Elation Damage Team
- Sparxie (Fire/Elation)
- Yao Guang (Physical/Elation)
- Sparkle (Quantum/Harmony)
- Permansor Terrae (Physical/Preservation) or Hyacine (Wind/Remembrance)
-
Budget-Free Team
- Sparxie
- Asta (Fire/Harmony)
- Trailblazer (Ice/Remembrance)
- Natasha (Physical/Abundance)
For maximizing Skill Point income, including Permansor Terrae is highly recommended, but characters like Hyacine or Lingsha can also serve as support units.
Skill Trace Priorities
Fully upgrading Sparxie’s abilities is recommended for optimal performance. Focus on her Skill, Talent, and Elation Skill, unlocking all three extra traces. Prioritize upgrading her Ultimate and Basic Attack accordingly. While some builds might choose to skip one, for this Fire Elation character, all abilities play an important role.
Upgrading her involves farming and resource management, especially since Light Cones are limited. But overall, investing in Sparxie can be worthwhile—as she’s a strong contender in Honkai: Star Rail, although it’s possible she might be surpassed in power within a few months by other Elation characters.
