In 2026, the top new game for PS5 and PS5 Pro so far has announced additional content following rave reviews from critics and players alike. Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem has already captured everyone’s attention, but the developer isn’t stopping there. They are offering more reasons to keep playing in the coming months as the game surpasses five million copies sold.
PS5 and PS5 Pro players are in for a treat, as Resident Evil Requiem is getting new content, including a mini-game, story DLC, and more. This new content will feature both free and paid updates. Initially, players will get a much-needed Photo Mode. Then, around May, Capcom plans to introduce a “surprise” mini-game, although details are still under wraps.
Additionally, there will be extra story content available through paid DLC. In a video message on X, director Koshi Nakanishi said, “We hope to continue supporting Resident Evil Requiem to meet the positive response.”
Regarding the story expansions, Nakanishi mentioned that Capcom aims to “delve deeper into the world of Requiem.” He added, “We’re working diligently on this, and it will take some time, so we appreciate your patience. We hope you’re looking forward to it and thank you all for your ongoing support.”
It seems the story DLC may still be a little while away. For more updates on Resident Evil Requiem, check out our previous coverage.
