If you want to survive in the dangerous world of Arc Raiders, you’ll need to scavenge just about everything you can find in the wasteland. Most items will be used to improve your stations or craft new gear, but some are important for your Expedition Project, like the Light Bulb. You’ll need three Light Bulbs to get past step three of the project. These bulbs can be tricky to find if you don’t know where to look, so here are some of the best places to hunt them down.
Where to Find Light Bulbs
When searching for Light Bulbs, focus on areas that are likely to drop electrical-themed loot. These locations are marked with a lightning bolt icon. Recommended spots include:
- Power Generation Complex and Electrical Substation on Dam Battlegrounds
- Pilgrim’s Peak on The Blue Gate
- Lootable Vehicles
Of these, Dam Battlegrounds tends to be the most fruitful. This area includes a Power Generation Complex to the north and an Electrical Substation to the south. For the Power Generation Complex, search the underground tunnels beneath the main building — they’re full of lootable spots. The control room on the eastern side is especially good for finding Light Bulbs.
The Electrical Substation is smaller but often produces Light Bulbs. Look for the small buildings on the northern edge of this area; they usually contain containers or lockers that are more likely to hold a Light Bulb.
Pilgrim’s Peak is another good place, particularly the outlying buildings and the tower. The basement control room can also have Light Bulbs, but I’ve noticed it’s often filled with electrical parts like wires, sensors, and processors.
Lootable Vehicles
Vehicles are surprisingly one of the best sources for Light Bulbs. Check cars with intact hoods or the backs of buses since these are breakable containers you can loot. Good spots include the highway and parking garages in Buried City, the checkpoint at The Blue Gate, as well as the damaged road running through the middle of Dam Battlegrounds.
Remember, Light Bulbs can’t be bought or crafted, so always keep an eye out for them, even if you don’t need three right away for your Expedition. They are a crucial resource and often found in specific scavenging spots, especially in less conflict-heavy areas, making them safer targets for exploration.
