But don’t worry—we’ve put together a list of all the Warbonds in Helldivers 2, so you can decide whether to opt for cutting-edge gear or embrace Freedom’s Flame, along with details on standout equipment in each selection.
Top Premium Warbond in Helldivers 2
Currently, the standout premium Warbond in Helldivers 2 is the Steeled Veterans Warbond, the very first one introduced in the game. Initially, its offerings were lackluster, but various adjustments have transformed it into a powerful collection of weapons and gear. In fact, some of the newer Warbonds have been considered less impressive by many players.
Keep in mind that while Steeled Veterans is in a good place now, all Warbonds are open to future changes via patches that may enhance or weaken them. There’s also no certainty that Steeled Veterans will stay at the top; other Warbonds could be improved enough to surpass it.
Ranking of All Helldivers 2 Warbonds
Below, we present our ranking of the best premium Warbonds in Helldivers, arranged from top to bottom, along with highlights of what to prioritize in each one once you purchase it.
- Helldivers 2 Steeled Veterans Warbond. Thanks to recent improvements, this Warbond offers solid options compared to its earlier shortcomings. Key weapons to focus on include the Senator Revolver Pistol, Incendiary Breaker Shotgun, and Dominator Rifle—all excellent choices.
- Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond. Initially underwhelming, it has become much more valuable with recent upgrades. The Eruptor, Crossbow, and Grenade Pistol are now impressive in combat, although users should be cautious of their area-of-effect blasts.
- Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond. Featuring a tech-focused theme, this pass is centered on energy weapons and arc damage. The Sickle, an early game laser, remains one of the best weapons despite nerfs. The Arc-12 Blitzer is decent, albeit challenging to handle, and the armor with electrical resistance is beneficial against certain enemy types.
- Helldivers 2 Truth Enforcers Warbond. This selection includes tech designed for armor penetration with a melee element. While the offerings aren’t exceptional, they still hold their own, and the Halt is a versatile option to bring into missions.
- Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond. Though it doesn’t offer standout gear, players wanting value should seek out the Incendiary Impact Grenade, Pummeller SMG, and Verdict pistol for immediate benefits.
- Helldivers 2 Urban Legends Warbond. With only one weapon—the Stun Lance—and various Stratagems, this feels more like a gimmick. However, the Directional Shield can add some fun to gameplay.
- Helldivers 2 Servants of Freedom Warbond. This pass features gear that can be as much of a liability to the user as to enemies. The Double-Edged Sickle inflicts self-damage from overheating, but the Ultimatum sidearm that fires a small nuclear projectile is a strong choice, despite its short range.
- Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond. This fiery selection revolves around combat against insect enemies, dealing fire damage at close range through weapons such as the Crisper and Torcher.
- Helldivers 2 Viper Commandos Warbond. While it offers cool aesthetics and a useful Booster for Stims, the weaponry lacks in effectiveness overall, marking the beginning of the less impressive Warbonds.
- Helldivers 2 Chemical Agents Warbond. Featuring a poison gas theme, it has a decent gas grenade but little else. The Stim Pistol allows for distant healing but is difficult to use effectively without voice communication.
