Ryis is a skilled carpenter you’ll meet in Mistria. He’s a friendly and kind young man—and luckily, he’s single! To get to know him better, you should talk to him regularly and give him gifts to increase your heart levels.

He takes great pride in his work and shares a close bond with his uncle, Landen. You can usually find them both east of town, but Ryis often hangs out near the blacksmith’s workshop where there’s a crafting table.

Tip: Make sure to chat with Ryis on Friday nights at the inn!

Ryis’ Heart Events

As you develop your relationship with Ryis, you’ll unlock special heart events—unique cutscenes that advance his storyline and illustrate his growth as you both work to restore the town. New events will open every two hearts, and you’ll get a new quest via mail or the request board when an event is available.

Note: Currently, only two heart events are available!

Ryis’ Two-Heart Event

When you hit two hearts, it’s not Ryis who will ask for help. Instead, you’ll receive a letter from Landen asking you to deliver 15 pieces of wood. After gathering the materials, head over to Landen.

Tip: Use your map to find where Landen is!

Once you’ve delivered the wood, Landen will walk you back to his house. You’ll earn 150T for your efforts, and he’ll send you to fetch Ryis from the forest, as the young man’s break is almost over. You’ll find him in the ruins near a tree stump. Here are the dialogue choices available to you:

While your choices don’t significantly impact the outcome, it’s good to support and encourage Ryis, especially since he loves birds.

Ryis’ Four-Heart Event

After reaching four hearts, Ryis will send you a letter asking for help in choosing a sapling. Meet him in his room at his uncle’s house to start the event.

Upon arriving, you’ll notice his room is packed with unfinished projects, hardly leaving space for you. Here are the dialogue options for this event:

After this event, the tree stump in the ruins to the east will be replaced with a new sapling! While your encouragement doesn’t affect the outcome, you can choose to be supportive or humorous to enhance your relationship.

Ryis’ Six-Heart Event

Once you reach six hearts with Ryis, you’ll find a letter inviting you to visit his home. The tree has matured enough to hold a birdhouse, and he needs your assistance to build it.

Here are your dialogue choices for this event:

It’s a great opportunity to get closer to Ryis here and even flirt a little. Mentioning that the birdhouse feels more personal than larger projects is a good way to fluster him, but the end result will remain unchanged.
