Cooking and baking are key parts of gameplay in Starsand Island, and they serve more purposes than just making tasty food.
In Starsand Island, food helps restore your character’s energy and health. You can also give food as gifts to residents. There are many wild and farmed plants you can gather to make dishes or share with friends on the island. Here’s everything you need to know about food and cooking in the game.
How to Unlock Recipes in Starsand Island
There are several ways to unlock new recipes. You can buy them, complete quests, or discover them while exploring. Many recipes are available from the Auraleaf Kitchen in town, which is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
To unlock recipes at the kitchen, go during open hours and interact with the cash register. You’ll see a menu with items you can purchase or recipes you can learn. Buying a dish gives you the recipe, while purchasing for takeout simply lets you enjoy the meal.

Once you learn a recipe, you can cook it at any campfire as long as you have the ingredients listed in the recipe. The info about each dish also indicates what buffs it provides.
