When you start pulling on the banners in the Headhunting section in Arknights: Endfield, you’ll come across many four-star characters along the way to more rare operators. One of these is Estella, a sleepy Cryo polearm user who’s surprisingly strong in physical combat as well.
With the right weapon and gear, Estella becomes nearly essential for both elemental Cryo teams and physical team setups, especially early in the game. She’s a key member of a Cryo team but works well with almost any operator in Arknights: Endfield.
### Best Estella Weapons and Gear
Using high-quality weapons and gear amplifies Estella’s effectiveness. Her signature weapon, the OBJ Razorhorn, is designed specifically for her and maximizes her Cryo Infliction skills. It boosts her Will—her main attribute—and improves her physical damage, making it versatile for different teams. It also adds damage to solidified enemies and boosts her primary stats.
Other strong options include the Valiant polearm, which offers physical damage boosts and attack enhancements, though it doesn’t increase her Will as much. The Aggeloslayer is an accessible four-star weapon that enhances her Will and Arts damage until you find something more powerful. Her signature weapon, the OBJ Razorhorn, remains the best for amplifying her Cryo and physical attacks.
For gear sets, the Eternal Xiranite set is excellent for physical teams, providing damage bonuses when applying status effects like Amp or Susceptible. The Aburrey and Type 50 Yinglung sets contain buffs useful for all team types. Additionally, the Swordmancer set increases stagger efficiency, helping Estella control enemies more effectively.
### Best Teams and Abilities
Estella excels in teams where she can switch seamlessly between Cryo and physical moves. Combining her with characters like Alesh provides powerful freezing capabilities, especially when paired with Fluorite, who enhances Cryo applications. Xaihi can further boost elemental effects and sustain the team.
For budget options, pairing her with the Endministrator and Chen Qianyu can create a strong physical and Cryo-infliction combo. Generally, unless you focus heavily on elemental effects, Estella performs better on physical teams, thanks to her robust physical and Cryo skills.
### Abilities and Upgrade Path
Estella’s moves blend Cryo and physical damage, making her a versatile team member. Her basic attack hits four times with physical damage, offering 17 Stagger. Her Battle Skill releases a cold stream to inflict Cryo damage and apply Cryo lingering effects. When enemies are frozen and solidified, her Combo Skill lets her quickly close in, lift, and hit them with physical damage—especially effective on solidified foes. Her ultimate deals AoE physical damage and lifts enemies vulnerable to this type.
In terms of upgrade priorities, leveled-up Estella should focus on her ultimate early on, followed by her Combo Skill or basic attack. Her Battle Skill is less frequently used unless you’re building a specific elemental team. Upgrading her skills and talents further enhances her combat potential, with her second Combat Talent granting immunity to Cryo damage, converting it into additional Cryo damage dealt.
### Team Composition Tips
To maximize Estella’s strengths, place her where she can utilize her Cryo and physical moves effectively. Pairing her with characters like Alesh can create a strong freeze-shatter synergy, especially if combined with Fluorite for Cryo amplification and Xaihi for elemental support. For a more budget-friendly setup, combining Estella with the Endministrator and Chen Qianyu can result in a potent physical damage team, with her abilities increasing overall team damage and control.
