The recent Techrot Encore update for Warframe introduced a range of new weapons for players to pursue, including Infested Coda weapons and a lineup of Scaldra firearms. Among these is the EFV-5 Jupiter, a refreshed take on the Tenora.
Each shot from this lightweight assault rifle features Corrosive damage, making it an excellent choice for various missions. Modifying it for Viral damage allows you to cut through most foes effectively. For tougher enemies, you can unleash a powerful buckshot alternate fire. Here’s a guide on obtaining this weapon, discussing its unique traits and presenting a solid build for endgame play with the EFV-5 Jupiter.
How to Acquire the EFV-5 Jupiter
Most Scaldra weapons can be purchased from Minerva in the Hollvania hub. You will gain access to her shop once you reach maximum rank with The Hex Syndicate. After unlocking her, just speak with her to buy the blueprints for the EFV-5 Jupiter. Acquiring these blueprints will cost Hex standing. Additionally, you will need to craft all the weapon components, but the crafting requirements are relatively easy to meet.

If you’re familiar with the AX-52, you’ll notice that the EFV-5 Jupiter shares some similarities. This automatic rifle features a shotgun alternate fire with a short charge time, akin to the mechanics of the Stahlta and Tenora. The alternate fire uses 15 ammo per shot and takes one second to charge. If you prefer using the buckshot mode as your primary damage source, we highly recommend enhancing your fire rate. Focus on critical statistics and overall damage for both firing modes.
EFV-5 Jupiter Builds
The EFV-5 Jupiter is a straightforward assault rifle, so this guide will focus on an endgame build. You can create a basic setup with no Forma that utilizes elemental and base damage mods to tackle 1999 content. However, for tougher challenges, you’ll need to invest in this weapon to be successful.

In terms of rifle builds, this is a typical endgame setup. Galvanized Chamber enhances your multishot capacity, while Primary Merciless significantly increases your base damage. It’s worthwhile to focus on critical stats, so use Point Strike and Galvanized Scope to ensure you’re landing critical hits. Vital Sense will amplify your critical damage.
Next, focus on elemental damage. Primed Cryo Rounds and Malignant Force will generate Viral damage, which complements the weapon’s built-in Corrosive damage to diminish the enemy’s effective health points. For the final mod slot, you can choose either Vile Acceleration to better utilize your buckshot alternate fire or Galvanized Aptitude for additional base damage. We suggest going with the former in most situations.
