Since its launch, No Man’s Sky has seen many updates and new features, but none have probably made as immediate an impact as the Corvette ships. These ships can be built from scratch, giving players lots of room for creativity, and they’re more than just a visual upgrade.
Corvettes are also practical. They can do almost everything that standard ships can do, but they come with extra modules that make exploring space easier and more enjoyable.
### Best Interior Modules
You can add decorative and functional modules inside your Corvette, with some improving gameplay. The most useful include:
| Module | Usage |
| — | — |
| Cargo Racks | These work just like those in your base or on your Freighter. They connect to the same inventory, helping you manage your supplies on the move. Now you won’t need to carry your Freighter everywhere. |
| Mission Radar | Works like any other Mission Board in No Man’s Sky, but now you can access it wherever you are, without visiting a Space Station or the Anomaly. |
### Best Corvette Modules
Corvettes function similarly to regular ships, but they have some differences, especially in modules. There are two main types:
– Corvette-specific modules, applied at the Corvette Workshop and physically located on the ship.
– Technology modules, which are used on any starship and added via the Technology menu.
Keep in mind, both types take up slots in your ship’s technology inventory, so plan your build accordingly.
### Best Corvette-Specific Modules
When building your Corvette, you can purchase basic modules using Units, while others you’ll need to find during your adventures or trade for at the Workshop. The most impactful modules include:
| Module | Usage |
| — | — |
| Zenith Class Reactor | Doubles your Warp Cell efficiency, boosts hyperdrive range by about 200 light-years, and offers better fuel economy. |
| Ion Barrier | The top shield booster, increasing shield strength by around 13%. Ideal if you plan to fight. |
| Habitation Modules | Increase your Corvette’s cargo capacity, separate from your inventory. Very useful for storing more items. |
Reactors come with unique bonuses; if you don’t need to boost warp efficiency, a Ceto-Class Reactor, which increases shield strength, might suit your needs better. All reactor options can be previewed at the Workshop.
### Best Technology Modules
There are technology modules transferable from your regular ship that you can install on your Corvette. Depending on what you want, some modules are essential or significantly enhance convenience:
| Module | Usage |
| — | — |
| Launch Auto-Charger | Automatically refuels your launch thrusters, eliminating the need for constant refills, especially during frequent landings and takeoffs. |
| Hyperdrive Upgrades | Required for warping between systems of different star types, such as Cadmium, Emeril, or Indium Drives. |
| Teleport Receiver | Lets you transfer items remotely between your Exosuit and Corvette over longer distances, saving time and effort. |
All these modules help improve the performance and efficiency of your Corvette, making your space exploration smoother.
