Essential Tips for Playing Crystal of Atlan
If you’re diving into Crystal of Atlan, here are some key insights every player should have before delving into this live service game. From summon banners and energy management to class selection, PVP, upgrades for weapons and gear, there’s a lot to explore.
These tips will help you hit the ground running, allowing you to quickly access endgame content and tackle the challenges awaiting you. Here’s everything you need to know when starting your adventure in Crystal of Atlan.
Focus on the Story First
It might seem obvious, but the story mode is your best starting point in Crystal of Atlan. It gives you the chance to experiment with different classes before settling on one. Plus, the storyline provides sufficient gear and equipment to help you complete early game tasks.
You’ll also gain access to your pet and level up rapidly, which sets the stage for more engaging content. As you progress, you’ll unlock stamina usage, elite missions, and other relevant content to enhance your experience.
Hold Off on Upgrades Early On
As you play, you’ll encounter several prompts about enhancing your gear and upgrading weapons. It’s tempting, but avoid upgrading or enhancing any items until you reach level 55.
Doing so before that point means wasting valuable resources, as the story progresses swiftly and provides you with the gear you’ll need early in the game. Upgrading prematurely can hinder your ability to upgrade the better gear you’ll craft later.
Tip: Don’t worry about your gear until you hit levels 55-60, where more significant challenges and gear barriers come into play. Save your resources for that superior gear.
Experiment with Subclasses Up to Level 45
When you choose your starting class, make it a point to try out every subclass available to you. At level 15, a story quest will prompt you to select a subclass, but you can freely switch between available subclasses without any penalties until you hit level 45.
This means you can reset your skill points at will and fully explore the benefits of each subclass. Once you reach level 45, if you want to change your class entirely, you can buy a soul stone without losing your stats; otherwise, your only option will be creating a new character.
Reminder: Soul stones cost 1,000 gems, and there’s a limit of two per character each month.
Customize Your Character Early
Don’t feel locked into your character’s appearance from the get-go. While you will encounter customization options during a story quest, you can adjust your appearance earlier than that. After finishing the initial section of the story, talk to Cici in Lumiville to access appearance alterations.
Avoid Crafting Until Later
In the early stages, avoid wasting resources on crafting anything less than Epic Void gear. Although the game prompts you to craft gear frequently, the storyline will quickly replace it.
You shouldn’t need to craft until around level 60, but starting around level 55 is ideal when crafting becomes more relevant for higher-level content.
Note: If you must craft before level 55, aim for level 45 as a starting point, but really, hold off until gear crafting becomes critical.
Equip Circuits as They Come
While the circuits you acquire will eventually be replaced, you should use them as you get them. They’re not limited to specific gear slots and can be unequipped when necessary. Each circuit enhances your stats and opens up additional options as you equip them.
Don’t Overlook Exploration and Life Skills
Exploration and life skills are vital early on. You can unlock quests for mining and cooking, which can be easily missed. It’s best to complete these quests before venturing out into the world.
While exploring, you’ll find opportunities to engage in battles and collect materials, unlocking challenges, photo ops, and side quests as you go.
Create Alternate Characters for More Content
You can share many items and resources between characters on your account. For instance, Epic or higher-level gear can be passed around to facilitate faster progress. Resources acquired from the game can also be transferred among characters, providing added value.
Your adventure team, which consists of all your characters, grants bonuses like experience boosts for lower-level characters. This bonus increases your characters’ stats as you level them up, enhancing their performance across the board.
Caveat: There are limits on how many alternate characters you can have, but they should be sufficient for a full range of classes.
Equip Multiple Pets for Efficient Combat
This simple yet effective strategy can greatly enhance your gameplay. Once you have more than one pet, ensure you take both on escapades. Using one pet’s skills puts it on cooldown, so having a second pet ready allows you to take advantage of its abilities seamlessly.
By following these tips, you’ll be better prepared to tackle the challenges in Crystal of Atlan while maximizing your overall gaming experience. Enjoy your adventure!
