Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3: New Vehicles to Discover
Though the 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077 may not be as extensive as prior updates, it still introduces a range of exciting new content. Players can look forward to extra side missions and fresh activities throughout Night City. A standout feature of this update is the addition of intriguing new vehicles.
You can uncover four new vehicles around the city, each requiring a different unlocking process, which can make things a bit tricky. If you’re keen to track them all down, this guide outlines the steps needed for each.
How to Unlock All Four New Vehicles
Be aware that to acquire some of these vehicles, you’ll need to complete specific quests, while others will require a hefty amount of in-game currency for purchase. All four vehicles can be unlocked in any order; just follow the necessary steps.
Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred”
To unlock this heavily armed vehicle, you’ll need to finish several quest lines that include The Beast in Me, Transmission, and Search and Destroy. The first quest involves participating in a series of races.
Once you complete these quests, Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes will contact you to initiate a Freedom quest. Your task will lead you to Santo Domingo to locate bodies at Coronado Dam and then head to a construction site in Rancho Coronado to find the Caliburn. Before you can drive off in it, you’ll need to handle the Arasaka agents present. After that, you’ll hack a computer; however, be cautious, as the vehicle will start to drive away during this process.
Beside the laptop in the area, you’ll find the Skeleton Key for the Mordred. Take it and follow the car until you reach a spot where you need to disable it by shooting at it several times.
Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru
Similar to the Mordred, unlocking the Semimaru requires completion of The Beast in Me storyline. Once that’s done, complete the main mission The Hunt where you help River Ward. Afterward, River will message you about a stolen car, starting a new quest called Motorbreath. You’ll need to wait on a highway in Watson for the Semimaru to appear, at which point you’ll pursue it.
As you chase the car, be careful not to lose it. If you do, you’ll have to wait for River to contact you again to restart the mission.
Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa
This motorcycle is a bit more complicated to acquire. First, head to any Autofixer in Night City and purchase at least one Yaiba vehicle. After that, buy three cars from other brands. If you’re short on cash, completing a few Gigs can help you earn what you need.
Once you’ve made these purchases, proceed to Charter Hill in Westbrook and start a Crime Report mission titled You Play with Fire. Upon completing this mission, return to your apartment in the H10 Megabuilding to check your email for a message titled VIP Invitation – Yaiba. Selecting this message will initiate the Nitro (Youth Energy) quest.
Next, connect to the NET section on your computer and access the Yaiba Showroom option, which allows you to control a robot in the showroom. Navigate to the other side and purchase the motorcycle for around $95,000.
Once a day passes, you’ll receive a notification to collect and pay for the bike in Corpo Plaza. You can skip time to speed this up.
Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila
Getting this weaponized truck is the simplest task of the four, provided you have enough money. Unlike the others, this vehicle doesn’t require completing a specific mission. Simply visit any Autofixer and purchase it for approximately $55,000.
If finances are tight, completing a Gigs or two can help fund your purchase.
Conclusion
With these new vehicles, Cyberpunk 2077 offers players exciting new ways to explore Night City. Whether you’re racing, chasing down marked cars, or simply collecting new rides, there’s plenty to keep you engaged in this updated world.
