Unlocking the Nightreign skins in Elden Ring can be a lengthy endeavor. To get all the outfits, you’ll need a substantial amount of Murk and must complete various parts of the game. Initially, you can’t change the Nightfarers’ appearances since you have to unlock the dresser first.
Once that’s done, you can then acquire the radiant Dawn skin and the shadowy Darkness skin for all characters, though they come at a high Murk cost. By conquering some of the toughest bosses, you can also unlock exclusive skins that pay homage to characters from the Dark Souls series, like Solaire of Astora, Siegmeyer of Catarina, Patches, and Knight Artorias. If you’re keen on collecting these skins, here’s how you can unlock them in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to Unlock Elden Ring Nightreign Skins
To change skins in Elden Ring Nightreign, you first need to unlock the dresser, which occurs automatically after defeating two Nightlords.
After completing the Elden Ring Nightreign Tricephalos and one other Expedition, you’ll encounter the Iron Menial—your marionette housekeeper—back at the Roundtable Hold. He will tell you about the dresser he’s set up in the east wing. Head over to the dresser marked on your map, or use the Roundtable Hold menu for fast travel to access the Change Garb menu.
In this menu, you can preview, purchase, and equip skins for all eight Nightfarers. Most skins require Murk, the currency you earn from completing runs and selling relics at the Relic Rites shrine.
Each character has five unlockable skins in addition to their basic look, which you can switch between runs using the dresser:
- Dawn – 14,000 Murk: Available for purchase as soon as you unlock the dresser.
- Darkness – 35,000 Murk: Also available immediately after unlocking the dresser.
- Remembrance – Free: Automatically unlocked after finishing all Remembrances for that character.
- Dark Souls/Bloodborne Easter Egg skin 1 – 7,500 Murk: Available after completing the Night Aspect Expedition.
- Dark Souls/Bloodborne Easter Egg skin 2 – 7,500 Murk: Also purchasable after the Night Aspect Expedition.

Unlocking every Elden Ring Nightreign skin requires significant effort, as you need to defeat the final boss and gather a total of 512,000 Murk (64,000 per character to get all their skins). If you aim for 100% completion in the game, this will greatly extend your playtime in Elden Ring Nightreign.
These skins enhance the appearance of your Nightfarers, and we’ve even ranked them in our Elden Ring Nightreign tier list. If you’re playing with friends in Elden Ring Nightreign multiplayer, make sure to use Elden Ring Nightreign emotes to showcase your best outfits.
