The KnoWay Out mission set in GTA Online was introduced with the “A Safehouse in the Hills” update. In this mission, you team up with hacker Avi Schwartzman to take down a tech company that uses a fleet of self-driving vehicles for surveillance around Los Santos. The game begins with a secret text message, instructing you to answer a payphone at the Xero gas station on Calais Avenue. Some players find this location confusing, so here’s where you need to go to start KnoWay Out.
To respond to the mysterious text, head to the payphone at the Xero gas station on Calais Avenue. Don’t worry if you’re unsure where that is; it’s marked on your map. We’ve highlighted the location above, identified by an “A” icon for Avi Schwartzman, the hacker you may have worked with in previous heists. Avi is working to disable KnoWay’s surveillance network in Los Santos.
Once you answer the payphone at Xero on Calais Ave, other payphones will be activated and marked with an “A” on your map. Visit these locations and answer Avi’s calls to proceed through a series of five missions:
– Negative Press
– Inside Job
– Tunnel Vision
– Trash Talking
– A Clean Break
These missions focus on damaging the company’s fleet of autonomous vehicles and disrupting their wider surveillance system. If you complete the final mission, “A Clean Break,” as the leader during the first week of the update, you’ll finish the Weekly Challenge and earn a bonus of $400,000 in GTA currency.
If you own one of the mansions added in this update, finishing all the KnoWay Out missions will also unlock an extra mission from Michael called “Home Sweet Home.”
