One of the most common complaints about Battlefield 6 is how long it takes to unlock new weapons. This is a big problem for game balance. Unlike the class gadgets that are unlocked by leveling up, weapons require players to complete specific challenges. These challenges often have very high requirements, making the process frustrating.
For example, to unlock the KT100 MK8, you need to suppress 300 enemies and do 10,000 damage to enemies while firing from the hip with LMGs. Adding to the difficulty, suppression has been nerfed in Battlefield 6, making it harder to do and less useful during fights. If you’re having trouble unlocking a certain weapon, there’s a simple trick to speed things up.
Battlefield 6 challenges don’t tell the game whether you’re fighting real players or bots. So, if you want to unlock a gun faster, you can earn the same progress by suppressing or damaging 300 bots as you would with actual players.
To do this efficiently, you can create a custom Battlefield 6 server that’s set up just to farm weapon unlocks against bots. It’s a good idea to pick a map you know well and a game mode that matches the challenge you’re trying to complete. For example, if you need to snipe enemies to unlock a rifle, choose a map with a good sniping spot.
Once you’ve picked your map and mode, select the right class and gear to complete the challenge quickly. Keep doing this until you unlock the weapon. It may take some time, but it will be easier than trying to compete against skilled human players.
Right now, you can’t host custom Portal modes in Battlefield 6. This feature might be available in an update later, which could let you invite friends and better set up your bot farming sessions. Until then, you’ll need to set up your own way to farm weapons against bots.
