The PlayStation Store has released a free demo for an intriguing upcoming PS5 game that’s nearing the finish line of development. Baptiste is a psychological horror game where a mother and her son find themselves trapped in a strange new home with a creepy doll.
Despite being announced in March 2025, it wasn’t until October that developer Firenut Games launched a Kickstarter campaign for Baptiste. The campaign was successful by November, raising €6,118 from 123 supporters.
Now, with development almost complete, all PS5 users can download a free demo from the PlayStation Store — no PS Plus subscription needed.
According to the official description, “Sara and her son, Tom, are seeking a fresh start after a family tragedy on Jagged Shore Cliff, a remote area in the UK.” In their new home, a dusty cabinet contains Baptiste, an unsettling doll with a foreboding warning: “Never release this from its glass prison.” What should be a safe haven turns into a nightmare that defies explanation.
Baptiste is set to release in early 2026. PS Plus Premium members will have the ability to stream the demo.
