In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, you’ll delve into myths and legends that could upend the world as you understand it. By seeking out the truth and fighting back against corruption, you might give Avalon and its inhabitants a chance to prevail. But don’t worry; it’s not all dark and dreary.
Amidst the turmoil lies the potential for romance. Relationships spark and grow into passionate affairs—if you make the right decisions, that is. If you’re aiming to win Alisa’s heart, a charming woman from Kamelot, we’re here to guide you.
How to Win Alisa’s Affection
Searching for love in the Horns of the South? Make your way to the village just west of the Keepers Fort. Step into Ron’s tavern and engage with the elegantly dressed woman sitting alone; she’s eager for conversation.
Tip: Be polite during your interactions! If not, Alisa may refuse to speak with you, and you could miss out on the chance to pursue her.
Note: Alisa’s romance isn’t limited to any specific gender!
The One Percent Quest
While talking with her, Alisa will bring up the Seaside Mansion further down the shore, which is currently overrun with bandits. She hopes you’ll help resolve this for her, and, naturally, a reward awaits.
Reminder: If you’ve already cleared the Seaside Mansion, be prepared to return and deal with any bandits that have respawned.
Head north along the beach, past the druid shrine. Take out the three bandits lurking outside, then enter the mansion to eliminate the two seated at the table.
Once you’ve cleared the area, return to Alisa at Ron’s Tavern. You’ll find her husband, Duncan, frustrated with her antics. Regardless, you’ll receive compensation, and the unhappy couple will take their leave.
Farewell Alisa Quest
When you next meet Alisa, it’ll be on your terms. Head back to the Seaside Mansion, where she’ll inform you that her husband is missing. Agree to help, and she’ll provide you with a ransom note and details on where the Miner’s Tunnels are located, where her husband is being held.
Note: The ransom note mentions 200 gold, but don’t let that worry you.
Navigate to the Miner’s Tunnels, east of the Seaside Mansion. Clear out the undead near the entrance, then venture inside. You won’t have to search long—Duncan will be just inside, waiting for you.
He’s upset that Alisa hired you, hoping she’d just give up. Before you leave, don’t forget to ask about his injured hand and offer him a healing potion. In a misguided attempt to fake his own death, he thought he could simply cut off his finger and avoid complications from infection.
Tip: Don’t forget to grab the Ragged Nobleman’s Doublet and Frayed Silk Gloves from the crate on the ground—they’ll come in handy.
He begs you to tell Alisa he’s dead so he can escape from her. You have the choice to lie or tell the truth, but telling her he’s dead generally leads to a better outcome for everyone.
My Fair Lady Quest
After giving Alisa some time to mourn her husband, return to talk about her opening her own business. She might try to sell you the house, but you can convince her to stay and start a new venture. She’ll need to make some samples for her business.
This is where the Ragged Nobleman’s Doublet comes into play. Hand it over, and she’ll get right to work. She might want to reward you, but you score extra points if you politely decline.
Tip: Express that you just want to help, and she’ll appreciate your kindness.
You can also chat with her about how she’s coping with her husband’s absence. After your conversation, give her the Frayed Silk Gloves. In return, she’ll ask you to find 12 seashells.
You can gather these from Drowners near the Sunken Village to the south. Each night, take out the Drowners and loot their shells. Once you have all twelve, return to Alisa, who will be pleasantly surprised by your thoughtfulness. Use this chance to flirt a bit—let her know you always listen, and then ask if she’d like to go out with you sometime.
Fit for a Lady Quest
Your next task is to repair the docks and the pavilion by the sea, which have seen better days. Collect five pieces of wood to restore them. Once completed, invite Alisa for your date!
Tip: It’s wise to save your game here, as you need to answer Alisa’s questions correctly to advance the romance.
When you spend the evening together, she’ll want to know about your past. Depending on your character type, your answers will vary, but be sure to listen closely to her stories. Eventually, she’ll ask about the most thrilling thing that’s happened recently, and here are your choices:
- Clearly, it was meeting you, Alisa.
- I saw a sea monster.
- It wrecked my ship.
After your chat, Alisa will express her desire to see you more. If you ask her to clarify, she’ll confirm she wants to spend more time together. For now, it’s time to call it a night.
The next time you see Alisa, she’ll have a little gift for you. When you inquire if it’s a courting gift, she’ll blush. Playfully tease her, and she’ll suggest you move in with her. If you agree, she’ll become giddy and ask for a kiss, leading to a romantic evening together.
Warning: If you answer any of her questions incorrectly or offend her, she could shut you down and apologize for leading you on.
Stone by Stone Quest
After agreeing to move in with her at the Seaside Mansion, Alisa will ask you to spend some more quality time together. If you agree, she’ll want you to repair her garden so that it complements the lovely interior of her home. Gather materials for fixing various parts of her estate.
Interact with the large rock outside next to the ruined wall mural. Use five pieces of wood to create a small pond and garden area, then repair the mural along the wall using another five pieces of wood. You’ll need to head to the back of the house for the last five pieces to build a new pond.
Afterward, tell Alisa about your success in revitalizing the garden, pond, and workshop. She’ll be grateful and allow you to visit her anytime. If you mention missing her, she’ll reward you with a new outfit!
Tip: Search her wardrobe for additional outfits that are perfect for mages or anyone looking to make a stylish statement.
