Date Everything! kicks off as you log into your customer service role at Valdavian. Unfortunately, you barely have a moment to settle in before you face a sudden layoff. If you’re looking for a bit of comfort after this setback, why not strike up a conversation with your computer?
Meet Mac, the charming RGB computer sitting on your office desk in Date Everything! Mac isn’t just a tool; they have their own thoughts and desires. Swing by your workspace to upgrade their software and see how your relationship can evolve with this alluring potential partner.
Finding Mac
Chances are, Mac will be one of the first characters you connect with, as they’re conveniently located in your first-floor office where you’ve just started working before being let go. You can interact with Mac by either clicking on their monitor or the PC tower.
You might also encounter Mac while helping Vaughn Trapp, who will ask you to order something online. While Phonecia might have a remarkably cute personality, she’s not the right computer for the task.
When you first meet, Mac playfully teases you about your screen time, the weak password you set, and even the fanfiction you once wrote using their keyboard.
Installing Mac’s Update
Unlike some straightforward updates, upgrading Mac’s operating system involves several steps. During your first significant interaction post-introduction, you’ll work together preparing for their update.
During this phase, unless you aim for a negative ending with Mac, it’s best to be supportive and positive while they express their eagerness for an upgrade. Mac will chat endlessly about file management as you both wait for their system to prepare for the installation.
Before installing the update, you’ll need to clean up some storage space. Surprisingly, the biggest file causing trouble turns out to be your self-insert fanfiction!
As you navigate this scene, you’ll ultimately need to agree to delete the fanfiction. Once done, you must leave your computer on overnight to install the eagerly awaited update. The next day, check in on Mac to see their shiny new interface.
In this follow-up scene, you’ll notice a revamped operating system, and Mac is clearly excited about the change! Engage in some light banter and compliment them based on your desired relationship.
Regardless of your approach, Mac will sense your mutual interest, but once they feel more secure in their new OS, they’ll ask for some space. Your response will shape how your relationship continues; Mac believes this time apart can aid in personal growth.
Deciding Your Relationship With Mac
Friends
From the first moment you introduce yourself to Mac, it’s evident they’re looking for more than just friendship. Yet, you do have the power to steer the relationship. If you prefer to just be pals, you can politely decline their advances while keeping things friendly.
Love
Winning Mac’s heart could be easier than just settling for friendship, as they’re quite interested in you. If you’re aiming for romance, be sure to flirt back and respond positively to their advances.
To secure a romantic ending, you’ll need to accept their request for a break after their OS update. When you reconnect, Mac will express that they’ve been thinking about you, eager to make things official.
Hate
If you’re interested in a negative outcome, just be rude to Mac throughout your interactions. Decline upgrades, avoid deleting fanfiction, or reject their feelings until the relationship hits a sour note.
