Borderlands 4 Shift Codes can be redeemed for free in-game Golden Keys, which are used to unlock Golden Chests containing valuable loot. Keep in mind, some of these 25-character codes are only valid for a limited time and will expire, so it’s best to redeem them quickly to claim your rewards.
Players familiar with Borderlands should know how to redeem codes, but first you need to connect your SHiFT account to your platform account for Borderlands 4. This setup allows you to earn Epic and Legendary weapons and gear for your Vault Hunter. Below is a list of all the working Borderlands 4 Shift Codes we know, along with instructions on how to use them.
Active Borderlands 4 Shift Codes
Here’s a list of the current working codes and what they reward. Usually, they give Golden Keys, which can help you find powerful Epic or even Legendary guns. Sometimes, special codes might also unlock character cosmetics.
Some of these codes are temporary, so we’ve included their expiration dates when available. If no expiry date is listed, the code is permanent. Remember, each code can only be used once per SHiFT account.

How to Redeem Shift Codes in Borderlands 4
To redeem a code, make sure your SHiFT account is linked to your game platform account (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, etc.). You can do this by opening the ‘SHiFT’ tab from the main menu or pause menu. If you haven’t linked your accounts yet, you can create a SHiFT account and connect it manually or log in with your platform account details to set it up automatically.
Once your accounts are linked, restart Borderlands 4. Then, go back to the SHiFT tab, find the ‘Rewards’ section (the gift box icon), and enter a 25-character Shift Code. You don’t need to worry about case sensitivity or hyphens—the game will format the code for you.
After typing in the code, click ‘Redeem.’ If the code is active and entered correctly, your reward history will show what you unlocked. Then, head over to any of the hub towns (like The Launchpad, Carcadia, Belton’s Bore, or Upper Dominion). Locate a Golden Chest and insert a Golden Key to receive high-rarity gear that you can use right away.
Expired Shift Codes
Since Borderlands 4 is brand new, there are currently no expired Shift Codes. However, as the game develops, this list will grow. Make sure to redeem the active codes above before they run out.
