The Ingenuity belt in Path of Exile 2 is a highly sought-after Unique item that enhances many endgame builds. Although it lacks typical modifiers such as Elemental Resistances, Health, Mana, or Skill Levels, its value lies in its remarkable compatibility with rings you wear.
When you equip Ingenuity, it boosts the bonuses from your rings by 40-80% (and potentially even more with a lucky Vaal Orb). This enhancement allows for greater modifiers like Added Damage, Elemental Resistances, Cast Speed, Mana, and Health, significantly enhancing your character’s performance.
How To Acquire Ingenuity
The main method to obtain Ingenuity is by defeating the King in the Mists, a challenging endgame Pinnacle Boss.
To face him, you’ll require an item called “An Audience with the King.” Insert it into the Realmgate found in the Atlas of Worlds to enter The Crux of Nothingness, where the King resides.
Keep in mind that only the endgame version of The King in the Mists can drop Ingenuity. The Act-I version does not yield this item.
How To Get an Audience with the King
There are two main ways to get “An Audience with the King”:
- Purchasing it from the Trade Website for a few Divine Orbs.
- Acquiring it as a reward from the Ritual mechanic. Since it’s a valuable item, you may have to engage in numerous Rituals to gather enough currency for it.
It’s important to note that Ingenuity is not guaranteed to drop. The King in the Mists has a range of Unique items he can drop, with Ingenuity being among them. Here’s a complete list:

If you’re in the Trade League, you can purchase Ingenuity from the Trade Website. The pricing varies based on factors like quality and corruption. A low-quality version typically costs only a few 
Divine Orbs. In contrast, higher-quality versions can be listed for several Mirror of Kalandra.
For players short on currency, it’s wise to snag any roll within your budget (corruption doesn’t matter) and then farm for a better one through activities like Ritual.
Can You Obtain Ingenuity with an Orb of Chance?
It’s not possible to obtain 
an Orb of Chance for Ingenuity. This is because an Orb of Chance can only create Unique items that are not tied to a specific boss. Since this belt is exclusive to the King in the Mists, it cannot be acquired in this manner.
That said, other Unique items like 
Dream Fragments, 
Headhunter, 
Astramentis, and others can still be acquired through this method.
