Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous presents players with an array of romantic choices, ranging from a winged succubus archer to an ageless queen who clings to her youth through a mysterious potion. Among these intriguing connections, Camellia stands out as the most daring. Despite countless warning signs, many gamers (like Miskatonic) find it hard to resist her allure.
The romance with Camellia is a unique experience compared to typical RPG relationships. She is not what she seems, and as her true nature is revealed, you’ll likely feel compelled to run away. However, if you’re feeling bold, this guide is for you. Just a word of caution, you cannot play as Aeon, Lich, or Swarm to pursue this romance, and it’s advisable to have Camellia in your party at all times.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Proceed with caution.

Camellia Romance Guide (All Chapters)
Chapter 1: Discovering Camellia’s Secret
After bringing Camellia onto your team early in the game, you’ll find her in Defender’s Hearth after the battle with Minagho. When you approach her, mention her noble background, and then flirt with her using the line, “I couldn’t resist such a noble and beautiful lady.”
This will activate the Gwerm Family Secrets quest. It’s a simple mission — just follow the instructions in your quest log, and you’ll eventually uncover Camellia’s secret. When that moment arrives, make sure to agree to keep it to yourself.
Chapter 3: The Rituals & First Date
After exploring Areelu’s lab and discovering the Lexicon of Paradox, you’ll encounter the Treachery event card, which you need to investigate. (If your Crusade mode is turned off, feel free to skip ahead). About two weeks later, Anevia will intercept you at the Drezen gates. Inform her that you’ll search for the crusader, then head towards the Abandoned Building in the southeast of Drezen.
Here, you’ll finally learn more about Camellia’s true self. If you’re hoping to start a romance with her, support her choices completely. You can try to stop her from committing murder while still pursuing a romance, though it’s more challenging and arguably less enjoyable. Generally, lean towards choosing Chaotic and Evil options, allowing her to pursue her desires, including a romantic interest in you.
After returning, inform Anevia that the issue is resolved or tell her to drop it. After a few discussions with Horgus Gwerm and Camellia, she will arrive at your chambers with wine. This could take up to two months, so keep progressing through the game and wait for the trigger. When she proposes a friends-with-benefits arrangement, assuming you’re looking for more, just be sure to say anything but “I can’t agree,” then accept her drink and make a physical gesture before giving in.
When you speak with her again, express your desire to discuss your relationship. Keep showering her with compliments, then declare that you will eliminate any rivals or express a wish to be exclusive. After this conversation, start planning your next ritual together, including discussing a sacrificial offering.
Chapter 4: Second Date (The Brothel)
Head to the slave markets with Camellia and inquire with Dyunk about his wares. Show your support for her here, then proceed to Ten Thousand Delights, the town’s brothel. Accept quests from Chivarro and Morevet Honeyed Tongue, and locate the Spinner of Nightmares diary. Once you’re done with that, the A Conversation With Camellia quest will initiate.
Back at the Nexus, check in with Camellia to see how she’s holding up and offer to go to the brothel, which will kick off the What Is Your Heart’s Desire? quest. Complete the Chivarro mission, then ask Herrax about her private offers. Make an offer to pay, and then head down the hallway. Respond with “Shall we?” followed by “Calm down” to Camellia, before encouraging her. After you return to the Nexus, chat with her again to finish the quest.
This romance isn’t typical by any means, but it sure is unforgettable. Pursuing Camellia is particularly suited for Evil or Chaotic characters. However, if you feel like breaking stereotypes, go ahead and attempt a romance with an Angel!
Once you’ve dealt with Latverk in Middle City and freed the slaves, check in with Camellia at the Bad Luck Tavern. Tell her “That’s not like you,” and “I hear you,” then agree to deal with Latverk. Rest at the Nexus to trigger another talk with her, and select these responses:
- About what?
- Are you going to tell me…
- First tell me why you’re so angry.
- I’m not going to tell you.
Afterwards, examine the new bone amulet in your inventory, then during a gentle inquiry, ask Camellia “Why did you do it?” and follow it up with a thank you. As Chapter 4 concludes and you’re about to enter the portal to the airship, engage Camellia with these dialogue options:
- Is something bothering you?
- Tell me what’s bothering you.
- This definitely has something to do with…
- Alushinyrra disappointed you.
- You enjoy killing in secrecy.
- You prefer acting without consequences.
- I’m not prying.
Chapter 5: Kiss and Make Up
Upon returning to Golarion, shortly thereafter, Camellia will approach you in your quarters. Choose these dialogue options (and any others needed to advance the conversation, avoiding statements indicating you’re leaving or taking a break):
- Like you wouldn’t believe!
- All right, let’s try.
- Nod towards the bed or Let’s just admit…
- I’ve listened to you long enough.
- You didn’t enjoy the date?
At this point, continue selecting the first option until she makes an exit. Though it feels tenuous now, rest assured you will reconcile in a few days. Choose these responses to mend things:
- And?
- I’m sorry.
- Did you really just use the word ‘relationship’?
- You wanted to kill me?
- It seems that a little spat benefits our relationship.
- It is. I really like you…
- I love you.
Speak with her again in Drezen, then get Iz to trigger the Camellia Wants To Talk event. (If your Crusade is off, you can skip this.) Return to Drezen and agree with her to travel to Kenabres. Travel there, moving on to Gwerm’s Mansion, where you’ll encounter a servant. Ask for directions to Horgus, then search her former mentor’s room (southwest). Go to the basement to trigger yet another conversation with her.
After that, head back upstairs and out to the gardens. Look at the flowers and a dog grave, then return inside her room. Choose the following dialogue options for her and Horgus:
- You lived surrounded by luxury.
- Explain!
- Kill him.
- What did you have in mind?
- I like your idea.
- I’m the best lover in the world or You are really special to me as well.
- I will accept you as you are.
Return to Drezen to seal your romantic connection for good by selecting these dialogue options (you’ll need to go find her again during this segment):
- Give her the will.
- Wine again? or What do you have in mind? or Give me that bottle!
- What was that?
- Explain yourself!
- Pointly gesture towards the bed (Choose the first dialogue option repeatedly and any others necessary until this option becomes available).
- I will help you (Choose the first dialogue option repeatedly and any others necessary until this option becomes available).
While it’s definitely not your average romance, it’s certainly unforgettable. Pursuing Camellia in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a great fit for Evil or Chaotic characters. But remember, opposites can attract—feel free to try your luck with an Angel if you dare!
