How to Get Raw Food in The Alters

To obtain Raw Food in The Alters, you’ll need to construct a Greenhouse. This requires 40 Metals and 20 Rapidium, and it does take up quite a bit of space. Choose a suitable location by selecting Base Building from the Command Center. You’ll now see the “Greenhouse” tab in your Production menu.

Your Alters can be assigned to convert Organics into Raw Food, which, like other tasks, will take some time. The Botanist is the ideal choice for this job, but if you don’t have one yet, try to keep a few Raw Food units on hand. When growing food, you’ll notice two options: the Raw Food Package, which produces 10 units using fewer resources but takes longer, so consider whether time or Organics are more critical for you at the moment. Because there’s no way to acquire Raw Food outdoors, having a Greenhouse early is crucial for supporting your team and keeping everything running smoothly.

How to Make Cooked Meals in The Alters

To transform Raw Food into tasty Cooked Meals, head to the Kitchen. You can either do this yourself or assign an Alter via the Assignment menu. Although making Cooked Meals takes longer, they are definitely worthwhile, as only feeding your crew Mush can lead to low mood and morale. Once you have some Raw Food, simply visit the “Kitchen” tab in the Production menu to start cooking. Your Alters will eat a meal at the beginning of each day as long as there’s food available in storage.
