With the release of the newest Battlefield game, there’s a brand-new system for leveling up as you play. Luckily, Battlefield 6 offers several ways to rank up faster than before. Since many of the guns and gadgets are locked until you reach certain levels or complete specific challenges, leveling up quickly allows you to access everything the game has to offer sooner.
While earning experience points (XP) through gameplay and getting kills helps, it’s not the only way to level up. If you focus on playing certain roles like Engineer or Support, you can skip over some early gear restrictions more quickly, especially since Battlefield 2042 gave free skins, which made customization easier. Playing these classes and completing their specific tasks is an effective shortcut to earning XP.
Ways to Level Up Quickly in Battlefield 6
Change Your Playstyle Early On
Support class has some of the best XP earning potential because of its ability to revive teammates with defibrillators and supply ammo via crates—either actively or by staying nearby. If you team up with friends or a skilled teammate in a tank, camping in the back, or staying close as an Engineer, you can earn lots of XP by repairing vehicles and attacking enemies with RPGs from time to time.
Use Gadgets That Help Teammates
Items like the Assault’s spawn beacon and Recon’s spotting tools are easy ways to passively earn XP without much effort. When used correctly, these gadgets contribute to your XP while supporting your team.
Focus on Objectives
No matter which class you play, the quickest way to gain experience is by playing around objectives. Quickly capturing and holding objectives on smaller maps or in modes like Rush keeps you active and close to teammates. These small wins add up over time and help you climb the ranks faster.
Check Challenges Regularly for Bonus XP
The game offers daily and weekly challenges that grant large amounts of XP, making them a great way to level up faster. Keep an eye on the challenge menu to find new missions, which often reward you for simple tasks. Additionally, there are permanent “initiation challenges” that, when completed, give you 20,000 XP, two vehicle skins, and eight XP boosters to use later.
Tip: XP boosters can be activated during multiplayer matches and don’t lose their effect in menus or load screens. Use boosters for hardware or rank increases—they last from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the boost. With the upcoming first season of Battlefield 6, expect more free boosters to be given out, helping you level up quickly during the early days.
Overall, focusing on playing objectives, using your gadgets, and completing challenges are the best ways to level up fast and unlock everything Battlefield 6 has in store.
