A new exclusive action game for the PS5 has been announced, catching players off guard since there hasn’t been a recent installment in the series since 2005. The game, titled Patlabor: The Case Files, is set to launch on PS5 and PC, although a specific release date has not yet been disclosed.

Developed by Chime Corporation, Patlabor: The Case Files is a 3D action game that will be published by Good Smile Company.
A press release states, “Relive numerous iconic moments from Mobile Police Patlabor in this home console 3D action experience,” (thanks to Gematsu). “Switch between different viewpoints — take on ‘Main Missions’ as Section 2 of the Special Vehicle Unit, or see the story from the perspective of their adversaries in ‘Another Side Missions.’”
The game will showcase more than 20 different Labors, including Ingram, Griffon, and Type Zero models. Additionally, Patlabor: The Case Files will include a Simulation Mode where players can hone their shooting skills and engage in “Labor-versus-Labor” battles.
