– Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Additionally, Cyberpunk 2077 will soon be updated for PSSR 2.0 compatibility in the coming weeks.
This new version of PSSR is a significant upgrade for the PS5 Pro. PlayStation explained that PSSR 2.0 has been in development for some time and takes a markedly different approach from previous iterations. Resident Evil Requiem, which launches today, will be the first game to showcase the new PSSR, maintaining both high frame rates and superior image quality.
Capcom’s Masaru Ijuin commented that the updated PSSR allows their team to better process intricate details and textures that are usually challenging to upscale due to their complexity. The result is enhanced visual fidelity and an improved gameplay experience that elevates the horror atmosphere.
Players who receive the update can enable or disable the enhanced PSSR feature through the system’s settings menu. In the “Screen and Video” section under “Video Output,” users can toggle the setting on or off at their convenience.
