A well-known, critically acclaimed adventure game from 2013 for PS3 and PS4 might be getting a native PS5 version, according to reports from multiple sources. Although surprising, it’s possible that “The Wolf Among Us” could arrive on current-gen consoles before its upcoming sequel—potentially a move to boost interest.
This rumor originates from Press Over and is supported by MP1st, which presents some concrete evidence. In its original report, Press Over stated that a local Argentine developer called Trick Studio is co-developing “The Wolf Among Us 2,” with plans for a reveal and release in 2026 and 2027, respectively. The report also claims Trick Studio is working on a current-generation port of the first game.
MP1st shared images showing what look like a developer’s workstation at Trick Studio displaying a development build of “The Wolf Among Us.” The screenshots on the monitor include scenes and the main menu from the original game.
Additionally, Reddit users found an archived version of Trick Studio’s website that lists Telltale Games as a partner since at least March 2025, aligning with reports that Telltale staff visited Trick Studio during 2025.
It’s also possible that “The Wolf Among Us” might be getting a port for the Nintendo Switch, which didn’t previously have the game. However, given that the sequel has been in development for quite some time, a re-release of the original before the launch of part 2 seems logical.
Until an official announcement, it’s best to take this rumor with caution.
