A controversial first-person shooter released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 is set to be removed from the PS Store soon.
In a recent social media announcement, Electronic Arts disclosed that Battlefield Hardline will be taken off digital storefronts on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 22, 2026. After that date, the game will no longer be available for purchase, and any downloadable content (DLC) will also be unavailable.
A month later, on June 22, 2026, the online multiplayer services for the game on consoles will be shut down. However, EA clarified that even though online features will be discontinued, players who own the game will still be able to play the single-player campaign.
While the console versions are being phased out, EA specified that this change won’t impact PC gamers. The game and its online services will continue to be accessible on PC, allowing fans of the FPS to keep playing on that platform.
Battlefield Hardline, released in 2015, is the 14th entry in the Battlefield series. Unlike previous titles focused on military combat, this installment centers on crime, heists, and law enforcement. It received mixed reviews from fans upon release.
