Maximize Your Rewards Before It Ends
The event offers an exciting array of encounters, allowing trainers to catch numerous Pokémon—both common and rare.
Key Bonuses
Starting with the event, the following bonuses will be available until it concludes:
- Double XP for catching any Pokémon
- Increased frequency of certain featured Pokémon appearing with Incense
- The Max Particle collection limit raised to 1,600
- Eight times Max Particles received from Power Spots
- A higher likelihood of encountering Shiny Pokémon
Unlike Instrumental Wonders, Incense plays a larger role in Phantom Ruins, increasing the chances of spotting rarer Pokémon. Not only will catching Pokémon provide bonuses, but even those outside the featured list will yield higher XP during the event.
Wild Encounters & New Pokémon
While exploring during the Phantom Ruins event, expect to see a wider variety of Pokémon than usual. Common encounters will be plentiful, but keep an eye out for rarer species as well. Each Pokémon you encounter in the wild has a chance to be Shiny, encouraging you to explore as much as possible.
Some Pokémon can spawn more frequently based on specific locations. You might see:
- Rhyhorn (Rock/Ground type)
- Duskull (Ghost type)
- Drilbur (Ground type)
- Chimecho (Psychic type)
Among these, Sableye and Chimecho are particularly rare. The variety of types ensures that trainers will find plenty that can be powered up for battles against other trainers or raid bosses.
Pokémon Raid Battles
The Phantom Ruins event features one exciting new Max Battle Pokémon: Gigantamax Inteleon, making its debut as a 6-star Raid Boss. This latest addition is the final Galar starter evolution to participate in Gigantamax battles within the game.
To battle Gigantamax Inteleon, you’ll need at least three other trainers, as Max Battles require four-player teams. Utilizing strategic roles will help maximize your chances of capturing this formidable Pokémon.
Rewards from Phantom Ruins
Participate in various Field Research tasks during the event to earn increased interaction opportunities with featured Pokémon. Some of the notable Pokémon available through these tasks include:
- Gothita
- Rufflet
- Phantump
- Greavard
Players can also choose to purchase a Phantom Wilds Ticket for extra bonuses. This ticket doubles the Catch Stardust you earn from wild catches. For those willing to invest in Paid Research, there are additional chances to encounter Shiny Pokémon and receive Incense to attract even more rare Pokémon.
Whether you’re a seasoned trainer or a newcomer, the Phantom Ruins event in Pokémon GO promises a thrilling experience filled with challenges and rewards!
