The price of the PlayStation Now subscription drops officially from today. The new price aligns perfectly with that of Google Stadia Pro. The service also temporarily hosts new games.
PlayStation Now is a cloud service that allows you to enjoy a catalog of over 600 PS2, PS3, and PS4 games. And now the subscription to this platform sees its price drop significantly to reach USD 11/month.
For subscription, users had to pay 16 USD per month so far. Also know that you can opt for another solution and pay 65 USD per year to access the PlayStation Now, against about 110 USD before. This information has been confirmed by PlayStation management.
Google Stadia vs PlayStation Now
It is interesting to note that this new price, more attractive, aligns with that of Stadia Pro. The subscription to Google’s cloud gaming platform will also be offered at 9.99 euros per month. If the price is now the same, this is not the case of the nature of the subscription. Google does not integrate a catalog of games available in unlimited, unlike subscriptions like the Game Pass.
We imagine that Sony wants to avoid losing ground against Stadia and Xbox Game Pass and, to do this, we must obviously offer competitive rates. It should be noted in passing that the PlayStation Now is available only from a PS4 or from a Windows PC.
Finally, four titles expand the catalog of PlayStation Now, but only for three months:

This limited duration of three months suggests that another selection of games could be proposed after January 2, 2020.
