If you’re exploring romance options while battling demons and leading Crusades in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, you’ll be pleased to find several choices available. Keep in mind, your character’s gender and story decisions will affect which party members and NPCs you can romance.
Just like in real life, each romantic interest in the game has their own personality, preferences, and tastes. Some may prefer a strong, steadfast hero, while others might be drawn to a caring warrior. Throughout the main story, there are seven romance options—six party members and one NPC.
How Romance Works in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
Getting close to the character of your choice involves building a relationship through conversations and decisions that show your suitability as a romantic partner. These are called “romance flags.” Reaching certain milestones or making the right choices can establish a romantic connection. However, it’s possible to romance multiple characters without ending up with any of them—true love flags are needed to secure a lasting relationship.
Important note:
You can start romancing multiple characters at the beginning, but once you reach Act Five, any remaining options require you to be exclusive. At that point, you must pick one partner to pursue for the rest of the game.
Your character’s gender influences initial options, but other factors also matter. Your chosen Mythic Path and dialogue decisions will influence who notices and stays interested in you.
Here is a list of all romance options and who they are interested in:
Romance Option | Interested In |
---|---|
Camellia | Male |
Lann | Female |
Wenduag | Any gender |
Daeran | Any gender |
Sosiel | Male |
Arueshalae | Any gender |
Queen Galfrey | Any gender |
Tips for Romance:
The key to building a relationship is to keep your party members close. The more they see you around, the better your chances to impress. Pay attention to their dialogue, understand what they want, and meet their requests. Remember, none of these relationships need to be perfect, but some companions might require you to complete certain quests before they’re open to romance.
Specific Romance Highlights:
- Camellia: She starts cold but can warm up if you’re patient. She prefers spirits but can be convinced to spend more time with you. She’s interested in male characters and responds better if you support her hobbies.
- Lann: He seeks a heroic death and prefers a noble, honorable relationship. He’s only available to female characters and is a tragic, short-lived romance.
- Wenduag: A good choice for players with a darker, chaotic playstyle. She values strength and power and is best romanced by those who share her chaotic or evil alignment.
- Daeran: A noble background and a bit of entitlement define him. He’s an atheist with a complex personality. He’s open to romance, especially if you’re not overly serious all the time.
- Sosiel: The most wholesome option, he’s a cleric devoted to love and beauty. He prefers men, making him accessible to all players who meet that criteria.
- Arueshalae: A succubus seeking redemption, she’s easy to romance and open to all genders and alignments. Emotional connection is more important than physical intimacy.
- Queen Galfrey: The monarch of Mendev, she’s challenging to romance but can join your party after a successful courtship, especially if you follow a good or neutral path.
Romance in this game can be complex, involving dialogue choices, quests, and timing. Take your time, choose wisely, and enjoy the journey of love amidst chaos.
