The newest installment in a long-standing series, which started on the PS2, is currently available for next to nothing on the PS Store. This isn’t a mistake — the 2017 PS4 action-packed demolition derby/racing game, Flatout 4: Total Insanity, is listed at just $0.44 for a limited time. The game is also playable on the PS5.
PlayStation Plus members have until February 26 to purchase Flatout 4 for only $0.44. Non-subscribers will need to pay $0.67. Either way, the price dips below a dollar, making it a great deal worth considering.
For those unfamiliar, Flatout first appeared on the PS2 back in 2004 and has since released seven more titles, including a VR version currently in development for PSVR2 and PS5. One of the early entries, Flatout: Head On, was exclusive to the PSP, while Flatout: Ultimate Carnage from 2007 was an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Although Flatout 4 received mixed reviews and no new games have been released since, that might soon change with the upcoming VR title, which currently has no official release date.
The franchise is now owned by Canadian publisher Strategy First Inc., which has acquired it after changing ownership multiple times over the past twenty years.
