Getting to Skethermoor
To reach Skethermoor, your first stop will either be the Slate Mine Caves or Wyndham Village. If you opt for the mine, it’s just a matter of locating a door; if you prefer Wyndham, you’ll need to find a secret tunnel hidden in the local pub. After navigating through this tunnel and its obstacles, you will emerge in Skethermoor.
How to Access Skethermoor from Slatten Dale
Just Find the Exit
Make your way to the Slate Mine Caves in Slatten Dale at coordinates 29.9E, 73.8N, located near the Outlaw Camp. Before proceeding, turn left past Reg Stansfield—be sure to speak with him first to collect the "Voices in the Interchange" lead and the recipe for crafting a Makeshift Grenade. Additionally, if you’re in need of Burn Salves, Gunpowder, or a Hatchet, those items are available too. After talking to him, head left, go straight, and maneuver through the barricade to find the exit leading to Skethermoor. Piece of cake, right?
How to Access Skethermoor from Wyndham Village
Who Doesn’t Love a Secret Underground Tunnel?
First, you need to reach Wyndham Village, located in the northeastern part of the Slatten Dale map. Upon arrival, locate Grendel’s Head Pub at coordinates 34.2E, 79.3N. Look for the door that leads to some stairs behind the bartender, Alf Buckshaw. Unlike many RPGs, you can sneak behind him and head downstairs without any consequences.
Once downstairs, equip your flashlight and turn it on. Look to the west until you spot some boilers and barrels—listen for heavy breathing. Squeeze through the boilers and open the door on your left to enter the Secret Tunnel. Travel east through the tunnels, descend the stairs, and proceed east again, then north. On your journey, you might want to take out the poisonous plants from a distance to avoid unnecessary damage, and be cautious of the piranhas in the water. If you keep moving, you should evade their attacks. Climb the stairs, head southeast, squeeze through the wooden barrier, and ascend the ladder to finally enter Skethermoor.
Tip: Avoid confronting the robots in Skethermoor right away; they can be quite challenging.
Reaching Skethermoor may seem daunting at first, but as outlined, there are straightforward paths available right at the beginning of the game. Unlike many other games, Atomfall employs a non-linear structure that allows players to traverse any area at their convenience.
