Mastering the Snake Nest Deal Quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

In your adventure through Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you’ll come across various quests that can reward you with new gear and uncover new locations in the game. Each area you visit will have a specific number of characters who will ask for your help to complete their tasks.

As you delve deeper into the main storyline, you’ll unlock additional quests across all previously visited regions. For instance, one side quest called The Snake Nest Deal is found in Dock Town while you’re working through the Signs and Portents main quest. This quest requires you to locate a man named Atticus, and this guide will provide a step-by-step walkthrough of the quest.

Investigate The Area

Once you accept the quest, head to the Snake Nest, situated to the east of where you received the quest. Inside this bar, you’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather clues about Atticus.

Start by interacting with the book on the table’s edge, then talk to the bartender for any hints.

Note: You’ll need to gather more information, so continue your investigation.

Step outside the bar and ascend the ladder where you’ll find a blood trail. Follow it to the room upstairs. To the left of the bed, on a table, you’ll notice an item you can interact with that will provide you with crucial information.

With this new lead, return to the bartender for further discussion.

Investigate The Storage

The bartender will grant you access to the Storage Room, located near the ladder. Go inside and interact with the book on the right shelf, which will reveal a hidden room. In this room, you’ll discover a lever that opens the door to an elevator for further exploration.

Take the elevator down, then drop down again. Turn around and break through the wooden barrier to uncover your path. Follow this path until you reach a room where a ritual has occurred.

Important: Before moving on, ensure you collect the Linus Key located on your left side near an open book.

Use the key to open the door behind the rocks, where you’ll find a cage containing a body. Interact with it to gather more insights into the situation.

After that, smash through the wooden barrier and use the wooden stick to create a bridge. Before crossing, make sure to grab one of the keystones nearby. Utilize it to unlock the door after crossing the bridge, revealing a portal, but hold off on going through it for now.

Retrace your steps to pick up the second keystone, then use the portal to return to the storage beginning, where there’s a spot to place it to form a bridge.
