In Battlefield 6, sliding can be done by double-tapping the crouch button while sprinting. You can also hold down crouch while running to quickly dive to the ground and go prone. If you want to customize your sliding controls, you can do so in the game’s settings menu. Just select the control tab for your input device—whether it’s controller or keyboard and mouse—and then go to the Infantry Control Settings. There, you’ll find options to adjust how sliding works:
– You can assign a specific key or button for sliding, which is helpful if you’re using a keyboard and mouse.
– There are different settings for crouch sliding, such as all, toggle, hold, or off. These determine what kind of crouch button inputs result in a slide.
– There’s also an option to turn the double-tap crouch to slide on or off. When it’s on, you double-tap the crouch button to slide; when off, a single tap is enough.
For controller players, it’s recommended to turn off the double-tap crouch option so you can slide by pressing the crouch button once or hold it down to dive. If you’re using a mouse and keyboard, you can either double-tap or single-tap for sliding, or choose options that better match your playstyle.
Sliding is especially useful if you’re playing as part of the Battlefield 6 Assault class or if you’re an SMG user in Battlefield 6 Engineer. It helps you move quickly and stay low, giving you a tactical edge in combat.
