In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there are so many quests that you might often get sidetracked from the main storyline. You can spend quality time aiding your friends or building stronger relationships with them. Alternatively, you might want to explore different areas and encounter new characters, uncovering their quests as you go.
After finishing the Siege of Weisshaupt, several new quests will open up in the Hossberg Wetlands, including the Lives Spared quest. In this quest, you will need to gather evidence throughout the settlement to uncover information about the missing Grey Wardens who went to face the darkspawn in hopes of earning their stripes.
First Evidence Location
To start, head to the objective marker by the north beacon, where you’ll find three individuals gathered around a cooking pot.
Right behind them, there’s a table featuring a piece of paper you can interact with. This will give you the first piece of evidence regarding the missing Grey Wardens.
Second Evidence Location
Next, move to the second objective marker located further south, which will take you to a small settlement.
On the hill, inside the building where the merchant is stationed outside, you’ll find another piece of paper. This will act as the second piece of evidence you are looking for.
Third Evidence Location
For the final piece, go to the last objective marker.
When you arrive, interact with a corpse located near a torch.
Rescue the Wardens Caught in Blight
With the locations of the missing Grey Wardens identified, it’s time to track them down. Follow the objective to an area filled with enemies and three blighted boils that must be defeated.
It’s recommended to defeat the enemies first before dealing with the blighted boils.
The first blighted boil is immediately to the right upon entering the area, the second one is to your left on top of a structure, and the third is further back.
After eliminating all three, you can take down the source that links them. Destroy it to trigger the blighted boils near the main door.
Use a ranged attack to take care of it, then move forward along the path.
Before long, you’ll encounter one of the captured Wardens inside a cell. Interact with them to learn what transpired with the others.
Wrap Up the Quest
After your discussion with the trapped Warden, the quest will come to an end.
As a reward for your efforts, you will receive:
- Enhanced relationships with your companions
- Boosted strength of the Grey Wardens
