The Kite Shield, a medium-sized metal shield used by the Knights of Godrick in Elden Ring, offers robust protection against physical attacks. This shield was bestowed upon soldiers to aid their survival during the brutal battles of the war against Caria.
The Kite Shield is cleverly concealed in an accessible location. We’re here to provide you with a step-by-step guide to help you claim it.
Finding the Kite Shield in Elden Ring
You can buy the Kite Shield for 1,000 Runes from the Nomadic Merchant situated in the southern part of Liurnia of the Lakes.

To reach this place, you have the option to either navigate through Stormveil Castle and defeat Godrick, the Grafted (which is the suggested method), or you can bypass the castle entirely by venturing through a small forest located to the east.
No matter how you find your way to Liurnia of the Lakes, head west and follow the road down to the lake, where you will discover the first Site of Grace, known as Liurnia Lake Shore.
The Nomadic Merchant will be located right next to this Site of Grace. Speak with him, and he will offer you the Kite Shield for the price of 1,000 Runes.
