Instead of crafting better gear, buying upgraded armor and weapons can be a faster way to enhance your character. However, the costs can sometimes be overwhelming, especially when the small amount of coins you collect just won’t cut it. Fortunately, there’s a glitch you can exploit during a specific quest in the game.

Even within some shops in Avowed, you can discover unique pieces of gear that will help you tackle tougher foes. If you’re not interested in lowering the game’s difficulty to make enemies easier to defeat (thus allowing you to gather more loot), grinding for gold can feel like a never-ending task. If you find yourself in Emerald Stair, consider going back to an older save file.

How to Gain Unlimited Gold in Avowed

Change the Order of a Side Quest

To tap into the infinite gold glitch in Avowed, you need to change the sequence of the "Nature vs. Nurture" side quest. Head to the Fortified Xaurip Camp and talk to Amadio the Hermit first, instead of starting with Dolina at the Farmer’s Market. You’ll need to climb over the wooden paths and cliffs until you get to a cave located higher up. Once you find Amadio, listen to his plan, and choose the dialogue option that says, "You’re just trying to protect the land. I support that."

The glitch activates because it alters the usual course of the mission. Typically, you’d initiate this side quest by speaking with Dolina, but with this method, you will be prompted to return to the farmers and discuss their “Xaurip trouble.” After talking to both farmers, you should say, "Maybe we can do something about it."
