In Sniper Elite: Resistance, the Coal Torpedo presents a particularly cunning method to tackle the Kill List challenge in Mission Six: Assault on Fort Rouge. Instead of engaging in a direct shootout, this task calls for a blend of patience, precision, and cleverness to ensure your target unwittingly seals their own doom.
If you want to execute one of the most gratifying takedowns in the game, we’ve got all the details you need. Here’s how to set the perfect trap, stay under the radar, and let the Coal Torpedo handle the messy part for you.
Using the Coal Torpedo
The Coal Torpedo is essential for completing the Kill List challenge in Campaign Mission Six: Assault on Fort Rouge. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
Your target is located in a building outlined in red on your map. Start by approaching the structure and enter through the ground floor. Inside, there are two Coal Torpedoes set on tables in different areas.
- One is situated in a brightly lit room at the southern end, identifiable by a colorful striped rug.
- The other can be found in the northern section, perched on a crate in a large office room on your left as you enter.
Either Coal Torpedo will work, so choose the one that is easiest to grab.
With a Coal Torpedo in your possession, head to the second floor. Your target, Uwu Schoene, identifiable by his white jacket, will be moving through the central room on this level. To set your trap, go to the northernmost room. On the room’s western side, you’ll find a lit fireplace. Look for a bucket placed near the fireplace’s left side and put the Coal Torpedo inside. After you’ve set the explosive, find a good hiding place close by and wait for Schoene to enter.
As Schoene walks into the room, he’ll inevitably place the Coal Torpedo into the fire, causing an explosion that takes him out immediately. Just like that, you’ve successfully completed the Kill List challenge.
Stealth and patience are crucial to make sure your target falls for the trap, so keep a low profile and let the Coal Torpedo do its thing.
