Helldivers 2 Medals are one of the main currencies in the game. You use them to unlock Warbond rewards. While you can earn large amounts from Major Orders, Personal Orders, and regular mission completion, there’s a faster way to farm Medals beyond regular gameplay.

Many weapons and items are locked behind Medals, so quickly earning them helps you build your gear more efficiently. Below, I’ll share the best method to farm Medals quickly and all the other ways you can earn Medals in the game.

Best Medal Farming Method in Helldivers 2

If you’re focused solely on farming Medals, this method is the fastest in terms of time. It works in single-player mode and can also be done with friends if everyone follows the same steps.

Increase the game’s difficulty to the highest level you’ve unlocked.
Start a Blitz mission where you’re tasked with destroying enemy spawn points, such as Warpships, Nests, or Fabricators, depending on which Helldivers 2 faction you’re fighting against. The easiest to complete is the Illuminate faction, but others work too.
Equip your loadout with the Exploding Crossbow, Ultimatum Sidearm, and High Explosive Grenades.
Bring Strategems like the 500KG Bomb, Orbital Laser, Grenade Launcher, and 380MM HE Barrage.
Drop into the mission and focus on destroying ships as quickly as possible. Use your Strategems right away and play aggressively. Don’t worry about fighting enemies; your goal is to complete the objective fast.
Once you’ve destroyed the targets, kill yourself instead of trying to escape. Use your lives up for this purpose.
Your mission will still count as completed because the primary goal is done, and you’ll earn Medals.
Repeat this entire sequence.

This method varies in efficiency depending on your skill level. Some experienced players can complete these missions in just a couple of minutes, earning around 9 Medals per run. Playing about once every five minutes could net you around 108 Medals per hour, making it an excellent way to farm Medals quickly.

Additionally, doing this farming method might also net you some Super Credits, though not as efficiently. It’s still a good way for newer players to earn multiple currencies without having all difficulties unlocked yet.

How to Earn Medals in Helldivers 2

Medals can be obtained in five main ways:

Completing Major Orders: These are large community challenges that last about a week or two. The rewards vary, but they usually give around 55 Medals.
Completing Personal Orders: These are daily, smaller missions just for you, typically rewarding about 15 Medals.
Completing Missions and Operations: Finishing a mission grants Medals based on its difficulty. As you complete more missions within chains or operations, the rewards increase.
Finding Medals in Missions: While exploring, you might randomly come across small amounts (1-3 Medals) scattered throughout the environment.
