The Ke Ke Ke Ke Team Rocket Grunt returns in Pokémon GO this November 2024. This Grunt features a team of different Pokémon, which you’ll need specific counters to defeat. You can find her by visiting PokeStops on the game map, where she will challenge you to battle with her latest team. While several Rocket members are available for battle, this one is easy to recognize by her memorable phrase “Ke…ke…ke…ke…ke…ke!” Each Grunt’s team changes throughout the year, but unlike the Leaders, each Grunt focuses on a specific Pokémon type.

Ke Ke Ke Ke Grunt Team & Counters In Pokémon GO (November 2024)

Use Dark & Ghost-Types

To defeat the Ke Ke Ke Ke Rocket Grunt in Pokémon GO, you’ll need to counter her team of Ghost-type Pokémon this November, which includes Drifloon, Dusclops, and Gengar. Utilize Dark-type Pokémon such as Spiritomb, Darkrai, and Houndoom for maximum effectiveness. Ghost types can still work if you’re low on Dark Pokémon, but keep in mind that they are also vulnerable to Ghost-type moves that Ke Ke Ke Ke may use against you. If you manage to evolve Yamask in Pokémon GO, it can serve as a solid backup. Here’s a table of effective counters:

Using Pokémon like Darkrai is one of your best options against Ke Ke Ke Ke thanks to their pure Dark typing, which makes them resistant to Ghost-type moves. Even the newest Gigantamax Gengar would struggle against them. However, remember that many of the Rocket Grunt’s Pokémon feature secondary types with weaknesses you can take advantage of.

For example, Golett is part Ground-type, which makes it vulnerable to Water-type moves from Pokémon like Kyogre. Alolan Marowak is part Fire-type, meaning you can exploit its weaknesses with Rock, Ground, and Water attacks from strong counters like Rampardos, Kingler, Excadrill, and Rhyperior.

Be sure to utilize Dark or Ghost-type moves with Pokémon of that type to gain a 20% STAB (same-type attack bonus).

Rewards For Beating Rocket Grunts In Pokémon GO

Shadow Pokémon Encounter, Stardust & More

As with any Team Rocket Grunt in Pokémon GO, defeating Ke Ke Ke Ke grants you 500 Stardust among other rewards, including an encounter with the first Shadow Pokémon she used, allowing you the chance to catch it. Given her current lineup, you could catch a Shadow Drifloon, Duskull, or Golett for your collection. Additionally, you will receive a Shadow Shard, which is valuable because you can combine four of them to create a Purified Gem to use against Shadow Raid bosses.

The final reward, a Mysterious Component, is crucial for those seeking out Rocket Leader bosses. Collecting six of them and combining them creates a Rocket Radar, which helps locate higher-level bosses like Cliff or Giovanni. Although you might encounter bosses randomly, this method ensures you can track them down. Just remember to primarily use Dark-type Pokémon against Ke Ke Ke Ke’s team of Ghost-types in Pokémon GO this November 2024, and you will secure both victory and valuable rewards.
