Each boulder has 250 HP, meaning it will take up to five strikes to break it apart, providing you with metal building materials as you go, and releasing a random amount of Bars (usually between 30 and 50 based on my experience) when destroyed.
Mining a Gold Vein will activate the Gold Rush effect, temporarily increasing your movement speed along with your pickaxe’s speed and damage against structures. This can aid in completing another weekly quest that requires you to damage opponents while under the Gold Rush effect. Alternatively, you can trigger the Gold Rush effect by using a can of Gold Splash.
