The “Ashes of the Damned” Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is full of hidden secrets and chaos. One of the most powerful tools you can find are Wonder Weapons, which are often unusual but highly effective against the undead. Like previous games, these weapons are not your typical guns—they can help you wipe out large groups of zombies. With two returning favorites and two brand-new weapons, Wonder Weapons are more powerful than ever.
Getting a Wonder Weapon is not always easy because they are typically tied to specific tasks or conditions. Luckily, in Black Ops 7, you don’t need to wait through multiple zombie matches to unlock them. Instead, Wonder Weapons appear naturally during any round of gameplay, so anyone can find them if they look.
There are currently four Wonder Weapons in the game. Two are variations of familiar weapons from earlier titles, while the others are new. Some weapons require completing special tasks, while others are obtained simply by chance. Sometimes luck is your best bet, so you’ll need to keep trying to find the weapon you want.
It’s important to note that earning experience points or leveling up in the game doesn’t make Wonder Weapons easier to find. However, some weapons spawn in fixed locations, so the more familiar you are with the map, the easier it is to grab them.
Below is a list of all the Wonder Weapons available, how to unlock them, and the best ways to use each one:
| Wonder Weapon | Spawn Location | How to Get |
| — | — | — |
| Ray Gun | Mystery Box | Spend 950 Essence or use a “Wonderbar!” Ultra Gobblegum for a guaranteed drop. |
| Ray Gun Mark II | Mystery Box | Same method as the original Ray Gun. |
| Necrofluid Gauntlet | Ashes of the Damned Map | Complete specific tasks like turning on power in certain areas, freeing Klaus, delivering the Aether Barrel, and destroying green orbs with the Gauntlet. |
| Ol’ Tessie | Ashes of the Damned Map | Find the vehicle early in the map, then upgrade it through Easter Eggs by unlocking rooms, destroying fungi, and installing the Pack-a-Punch machine. |
You can also find the Ray Gun by feeding the creature Chompy in the standard Zombies map, but chances of it dropping a Wonder Weapon are low.
Each Wonder Weapon has its own special use. For instance, the Ray Gun fires explosive bursts that damage and destroy zombies quickly, while the Mark II offers more precision with similar power. The Necrofluid Gauntlet can not only shoot but also pull items from a distance, making it useful for collecting materials safely. Ol’ Tessie is unique because it can be upgraded through Easter Eggs in the game, significantly increasing its power and capabilities.
To upgrade Ol’ Tessie, follow these steps:
1. Spend 1,250 Coins to unlock the Server Room.
2. Break crates to get the T.E.D.D. Head for its first upgrade.
3. Destroy fungi near the Power Pump to turn it on.
4. Activate the Power Pump for the second upgrade.
5. Enter the Blacksmith Garage in Ashwood.
6. Install the Pack-a-Punch machine inside Ol’ Tessie for its final upgrade.
Upgrading Ol’ Tessie makes it extremely powerful, with options like adding a giant turret or speed-enhancing heads. Multiple players can ride inside, making it a great way to move around the map, find Easter Eggs, or escape zombies.
Learning how to use each Wonder Weapon is crucial. For example, the original Ray Gun detonates in a wide splash that kills zombies around you, while the Mark II offers high-precision shots with the same damage. The Gauntlet can also be used to pull items or destroy green orbs, helping you gather resources and clear paths.
Overall, having a Wonder Weapon gives your team a significant advantage against the zombie horde. They are valuable tools that can turn the tide of any match, so finding and upgrading them early should be a top priority.
