Pokémon GO has unveiled an exciting new Raid Boss schedule for March 2025. Players will encounter a range of challenges, including classic raids featuring powerful 5-Star bosses, along with Mega Pokémon, Dynamax Pokémon, and Shadow bosses. This month marks the beginning of the Might and Mastery season, lasting for three months, with a special focus on Dynamax Pokémon. All raid battles will be active this month, providing plenty of opportunities for players.

The month kicked off with the Road to Unova event, setting a lively tone. New Pokémon will make their appearance in specific variants as Raid Bosses. While some details may shift during the month, such as changes to Team GO Rocket Boss Giovanni’s lineup, the Raid Boss Schedule has been confirmed. Below is the list of all the Bosses trainers can face in March 2025.

All 5-Star Raid Bosses in March 2025

Five Pokémon in 5-Star Raids

This month features five unique 5-Star Raid Bosses in Pokémon GO. These are the most challenging regular raids, requiring a large team of trainers to defeat them.

How to Defeat Sierra in Pokémon GO (March 2025)

Sierra’s current lineup is more manageable, but it’s important to choose the right counters in Pokémon GO to boost your chances of winning.

Although these Pokémon have appeared in raids previously, they are valuable choices for the GO Battle League. If you missed any of them, make sure to catch them this time.

Pokémon and Type Dates Weaknesses Raid Hour date
Articuno – Ice and Flying March 4 – March 13 Rock, Steel, Electric, and Fire March 5 and March 12
Zapdos – Electric and Flying March 4 – March 13 Rock and Ice March 5 and March 12
Moltres – Fire and Flying March 4 – March 13 Rock, Water, and Electric March 5 and March 12
Tapu Koko – Electric and Fairy March 13 – March 22 Ground and Poison March 19
Heatran – Fire and Steel March 22 – March 31 Fighting, Water, and Ground March 26

In the beginning of the month, trainers can catch three Legendary birds from Generation 1: Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno. With the recent inclusion of these legendary birds in Dynamax Max Battles, following the Legendary Flight event, players have a great opportunity to earn candies to enhance them. Tapu Koko and Heatran are also back in Max Raids this month. All five raids provide a chance to capture shiny versions of these Pokémon.

Mega Raid Bosses in March 2025

Four Challenging Mega Raids

This month, players will face four Mega Raid Bosses in Pokémon GO. Mega Pokémon hold a significant advantage in battles, whether in PvP during Mega Cups, raids, or encounters with Team GO Rocket. Defeating each of these Mega Bosses will require teamwork.

Pokémon and Type Dates Weaknesses
Mega Garchomp – Dragon and Ground February 17 – March 4 Dragon, Fairy, and Ice
Mega Lucario – Fighting and Steel March 4 – March 13 Fighting, Fire, and Ground
Mega Swampert – Water and Ground March 13 – March 22 Grass
Mega Pinsir – Bug and Flying March 22 – March 31 Rock, Electric, Fire, Flying, and Ice

Upon defeating any Mega Raid bosses, you will have the chance to capture them in their base form. You will need to use Mega Energy to evolve them into their Mega form, which will last for 24 hours.

This month features Mega Garchomp, Mega Lucario, Mega Swampert, and Mega Pinsir. All are robust choices, but two stand out. Lucario in all its forms is one of the top Fighting-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, while Mega Swampert shines in multiple GO Battle Leagues.

Max Raid Bosses in March 2025

Dynamax Pokémon Presenting New Challenges

This month also includes several Max Raid Bosses at various difficulty levels for trainers in Pokémon GO. These bosses offer chances to catch Dynamax Pokémon, a feature introduced in 2024.

Pokémon Dates
Darumaka, Pidove, and Sobble February 24 – March 3
Darumaka, Pidove, Sobble, Gastly, and Beldum March 3 – March 10
Krabby, Drilbur, Darumaka, and Beldum March 10 – March 17
Machop, Chansey, Scorbunny, and Falinks March 17 – March 24
Charmander, Chansey, Caterpie, and Pidove March 24 – March 31

Dynamax Max Raids present a unique battle experience in Pokémon GO. Players can team up with up to three others, but standard moves won’t apply. Instead, as you attack, you will fill your Max Meter, which then unlocks Max Moves for the toughest Max Raids. This month also sees the debut of Dynamax Raikou during the Max Battle Weekend.

Five Dynamax Pokémon will also be featured in Max Monday hours, happening every Monday in March from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time.

Many Dynamax Max Raid Pokémon appear twice this month in different weeks. Most of the Pokémon featured in Max Raid Battles have been available in Dynamax form before, but two are making their debuts. Chansey will appear for the first time from March 17 to March 31, while Caterpie also debuts in this form during the last week of the month.

Shadow Raid Bosses in March 2025

Another Legendary Titan Awaits

Following February’s schedule, where Regirock was the Shadow Raid Boss, March brings another Legendary Titan: Regice. Unlike standard Raid Bosses, Shadow Regice will only appear on weekends.

Pokémon GO: Dynamax Beldum Max Battle Guide (Max Mondays)

Dynamax Beldum returns to Pokémon GO for Max Mondays, but you can easily defeat it with super-effective Pokémon types.

You can locate Shadow Regice just like any other raid at PokéStops, so keep an eye on the nearby raids menu over the weekends in March.

Shadow Regice may also be available in its shiny form if you’re lucky.

Once you find it, defeating Shadow Regice can be quite challenging. It’s advisable to assemble a team of at least six trainers, all using Pokémon with super-effective counters, to enhance your likelihood of success. As a pure Ice-type, Regice is vulnerable to Fighting, Fire, Rock, and Steel moves. It ranks among the toughest raids in Pokémon GO, but successfully capturing it is well worth the effort.
