If you’re having a tough time with today’s Connections puzzle, we’ve got some tips to help you tackle it. While it’s not as tricky as yesterday’s, paying close attention to the details is still important. You’ll find some seemingly unrelated words in this puzzle that have more connections than you might initially think. I’m here to help you stay on track and finish it without breaking your streak.
For an extra challenge, I recommend trying the NYT’s Spelling Bee puzzle. Out of all the games, this one has my favorite design. It’s adorable, features honey bees, and the letters are arranged in charming honeycomb shapes, which brings a smile to your face when you see it. Even though the puzzle can be a bit frustrating at times, the vibrant aesthetic gives you a nice boost of happiness. While it may not be my top choice to solve, the experience of loading it is delightful.

Answers for Today’s Connections
MARCH 19 #647
Yellow Answers:
- SIGNIFY
- Convey
- Express
- Mean
- Spell
This category didn’t seem quite as simple as yellow categories usually are. Though it’s based on definitions, there are some words that could easily confuse you. For instance, MEDIAN could be misleading, and I thought MODE might fit there too. However, once I worked through the other categories, this one became much clearer.
Green Answers:
- WEB BROWSER BUTTONS
- Back
- Extensions
- Forward
- Refresh
This category stood out to me with EXTENSIONS making an impression right away. Upon seeing FORWARD and REFRESH, I felt it was definitely a good fit. The last word was a bit elusive at first, and I briefly considered EXPRESS and MODE, but neither seemed appropriate. I eventually pulled out BACK, which was tucked away in my puzzle.
Blue Answers:
- PARTS OF A ROAD
- Divider
- Lane
- Median
- Shoulder
This category was my first success, sparked by seeing DIVIDER and LANE together. When deciding between MEDIAN, SHOULDER, and EXPRESS, I swapped them around in my mind before settling on the correct combination.
Purple Answers:
- Á/A LA ___
- Carte
- King
- Mode
- Plancha
This category presented a challenge. While I felt that CARTE and PLANCHA belonged together, the other words didn’t seem to fit the same theme initially. I ended up researching PLANCHA to understand its significance better.
