The top spot on the Madden 26 rookie ratings list is no surprise. Travis Hunter, a versatile player, leads the pack as the highest-rated newcomer. Jaguars fans can enjoy using him at both cornerback and wide receiver. Coming in behind Hunter are Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty and Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter. Below, we highlight the best rookie quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, then share the top 20 Madden 26 rookie ratings.
There are no quarterbacks in the top 20 Madden 26 rookie ratings, and only one starts the season with an overall rating above 70. That player is first overall pick Cam Ward, who begins his career with a 72 rating on the Titans. The next highest are Jaxson Dart (New York Giants, 68), Tyler Slough (New Orleans Saints, 68), and Shedeur Sanders (Cleveland Browns, 67). Developing these players in franchise mode can help improve their Madden 26 traits.

The highest-rated traditional wide receiver is Tetairoa McMillan from the Panthers, with a 77 rating, followed by Luther Burden III (Chicago Bears, 76), Matthew Golden (Green Bay Packers, 76), and Emeka Egbuka (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 75).
