“Straight Record” is a task in ARC Raiders that takes you to the Dam Battlegrounds. The directions from Celeste aren’t very clear, so finding your way can be tricky even though the mission itself is simple.
You can get this quest from Celeste while you’re in Speranza, between trips to the Topside. She’s worried about an old EMP trap used against ARC that might be reactivated to harm Raiders. Your job is to investigate and disable it. Keep in mind, you don’t have to extract after completing this quest, so for a quick run, you might want to use a basic or free loadout to avoid losing your best gear.
Where to Find Victory Ridge on Dam Battlegrounds
The map’s northern edge
The map’s northern boundary is where Victory Ridge is located. This area includes places like West Broken Bridge and Ruby Residence. It can be hard to spot on the map unless you zoom out. Victory Ridge is large, so you might finish this part of the quest far from where the rest happens.
Next, you’ll need to find the old EMP trap.
Where to Find the Old EMP Trap
North of the Hydroponic Dome Complex
The EMP trap is just a little north of the Hydroponic Dome Complex and south of the road on the map. It looks like a pole wrapped in wires with a round device on top, sitting on a dirt slope. To investigate it, interact with its base.
Here’s what it looks like:
The trap is a pole with wiring, topped with a circular apparatus. It’s on a dirt slope. Interact with the base of the pole to disable the trap.
Finding Power Switches
There are three switches to turn off, and they must be disabled in the right order. You can only access the second switch after turning off the first, and so on.
Power Switch 1
The first switch is directly north of the EMP trap, on a small ridge. It’s a small yellow box you need to interact with.
Power Switch 2
The second switch is to the east, in some rubble. Climb onto a nearby box, then onto the destroyed building. Cross a small gap, go through a doorway, and interact with the switch.
Power Switch 3
The final switch is south of the EMP trap, near the Hydroponic Dome. It sits on the ground near a tree. After turning off this last switch, go back to the EMP trap and interact with it again to finish.
Remember, you don’t have to leave the area after completing the task. If you get eliminated afterward—either by other players or AI enemies—you can still complete the quest and claim your reward. Once back in Speranza, talk to Celeste to complete the mission and get your prize.
